*EDIT* : CHANGED username to: Estebomb What is your MineCraft name? Estebomb Why do you play minecraft? I play MineCraft because I find it to be an extraordinary way to escape from the real world, it lets you relax and have a good time. I find MineCraft to be very thrilling and unique in a sense, this game allows me to forget about any issues I am having in real life, it gives me the ability to essentially forget about anything that's bothering me. What is your TimeZone? Eastern Standard Time (EST) When are you usually online? I am usually online throughout the afternoon hours of the day, here is a general idea of when I can be online the server: Weekdays: 4PM - 9PM (EST of course) WeekEnds: 12PM - 10PM (With an exception of occasional events that happen in real life) * I can adjust to any additional times you need me to be online if necessary * How many hours a day can you play? How many hours do you actually play? I usually play for approximately 2-3 hours on WeekDays due to school, but on WeekEnds I have the chance to be only for nearly 7 hours. But of course, I might only be online for about 4 or 5 hours anyways. How long have you been playing SquadCraft? I do not currently have an EXACT date on when I first joined the server, but I believe my first login was about a year ago. What's your favorite memory on SquadCraft? My favorite memory on SquadCraft was when I was playing SkyWars, and all the enemy players tried coming to my small island for some apparent reason that I do not know of. I was forced to fight all of them, and was able to win - but not with a sword. I simply knocked each player off with a fishing rod whilst they were attempting to build towards me. My sister was even worried about me afterwards because I was almost literally dying of laughter, and I probably looked like some psycho to her at that time. Where do you spend your time at SquadCraft? I spend most of my time playing SkyWars because it is currently my favorite game-mode on the server. But of course, if I am needed on another game-mode, feel free to let me know. Why do you want to be a moderator? I would love to become a moderator on SquadCraft because it would be great chance for me to help out the community. After playing on the server for a while, I've noticed that there is an influx of rule-breakers ( hackers, spammers, etc) - most of the time, thankfully, there is staff there to deal with these rule-breakers, but that is NOT 100% of the time. Rule-Breakers taking advantage of SquadCraft has motivated me to apply for staff, to hopefully gain the ability to stop these rule-breakers myself. Additionally, I believe the server is in some "tough times" with staff members coming and leaving, I've also seen some of my buddies in the community leave for server-related issues. With this happening, I now have an irrational fear of SquadCraft one day closing for good, due to a decline in players. As said before, SquadCraft has been my best trusted server for as long as I can remember. So obviously this is the last thing I want to happen, I believe as a staff member I can have a better say in decisions made, so hopefully I can prevent this from ever happening. What is your goal as a SquadCraft moderator? My goal as a SquadCraft moderator is to be the most helpful, and productive person I can be. Actually, here are two of the many accomplishments I would like to achieve IF I am allowed to be the newest addition to your staff team: • Keep new players on SquadCraft for as long as possible. I can do this by giving them the best gaming experience possible. How do I do this? Simple. You just need to prevent the naughty players ( Rule-Breakers), from bothering the new players. Throughout my time playing on various server, I've noticed that the main reason for players becoming angry and leaving communities, is because of other people tampering with their gaming experience. So what do I need to do here? I need to stop rule-breakers ASAP. • Keep the old (veteran) players. Keeping the veteran players on ANY server is vital in achieving a successful, thriving server full of players all the time. If veteran players begin to see that the attention is going towards new players, or if new players are receiving better privileges, they will most likely GIVE UP on the server(s). So my goal here is to please both the new, and veteran players on the server. It is important for every staff member to remember that EVERY action you make can possibly affect more than one person. As a moderator, how will you effect SquadCraft? As a server moderator I would hope to effect SquadCraft in a positive way. I would like to try my best to make SquadCraft a thriving server, that is constantly full with happy players. If I become a server moderator, I can assure you that you will see much more responsive, happier players. Do you want Mod just to have Mod next to your name? No. To me, being a server moderator is much more than the command, or the prefix you get. Being a server moderator is about having the chance to make the server a better place for all players. If at one moment in my application, you feel like I am applying simply for the privileges, feel free to deny this application. I am truly here to HELP the wonderful SquadCraft community as much as I can. What happens if you are not chosen to be a moderator? If I am not chosen as a moderator on the server, I will accept the decision that you have made. Afterwards, If I have NOT received a reason on why I have been denied I will take it upon myself to go through my application thouroughly, and attempt to make it better. I will NOT message or spam staff on why I have been denied, the last thing they want is for players to constantly be asking that. What kind of skills do you have? I have quite a few skills including being able to swiftly be efficient, the ability to multitask, even the ability to speak to players of different languages. ( In PM's of course) - I am also very familiar with Bukkit commands due to my previous experience as being staff on other servers. Additionally, I also hope to discover many talents and skills that I might also have, while working for this server. Have you ever been banned? If so, Why? No, I have not been banned on SquadCraft. Nor have I been banned on any other server on Minecraft that I know of. Have you ever cheated, used hacks? If so, Why? No, I have never, and never will use hacks of any kind. How do you treat younger players? I will treat younger players with great respect, I can understand that younger players tend to be more sensitive to things you say, or decisions made so it is very important to maintain peace with these younger players. Some younger players might also not understand some points you are trying to make to them, so it is also crucial that you explain everything to them in a simple way. Obviously, younger players will NOT receive any "extra chances", or anything of that manner because rules are rules. But I would still make sure that the younger players actually know about what is wrong and what is right to do in-game, before I take action. Do you use teamspeak or skype? Yes, I have access to both teamspeak and Skype. I would be glad to PM you my Skype username if required. List the things you've done to help the SquadCraft community and the SquadCraft server. • Donated to the server to keep it running. • Assisted New players in figuring out how to do several things in-game • Reported countless numbers of Rule-Breakers on the forums • I have given advice to other people applying for server moderator • I have guided new players that have recently joined the server. How many applications have you submitted before? When was the last one?Is there anything else you would like to say? I have submitted one application before this and I believe that I was not as polished as this application is. It was submitted nearly a year ago,so I can assure you and guarantee you that I have matured a lot since my previous application - I've learned a lot in the past year. Do you have any experience as a staff member of any organization? (doesn't have to be minecraft) Yes, I have been promoted up to an Admin on a server community due to my good work. The server that I worked on included Bukkit commands. So I am very familiar with all commands that I would need to know as a server moderator. If you are curious to know, I no longer work on the server due to the community declining in players, leading to its shutdown for a short period of time. Tell us about yourself, about you, your character, personality and values. Well let's see, my name is Esteban, and there are quite a few things that I enjoy doing throughout my days! I have a strange passion for apocalyptic shows such as The Walking Dead, but I have also been recently watching Breaking Bad and it is magnificent! I love playing baseball, and it's been my favorite sport since for as long as I can remember. I have a Hispanic background, so I can write and speak Spanish fluently if needed. In my group of friends, I am considered the "serious & responsible one". People usually look to my direction when they need help, or are in need of assistance. My values include being able to act quickly and efficiently if necessary. Thank you very much for reading, please remember that your feedback is precious to me _Esteban
I like the app, but here is a detail: So you said in "What if you don't become moderator" that you will ask a staff member about why you got denied. That is reasonable, and unreasonable. It is reasonable because you will want to find the infraction of disagreement with the acceptor in the app, but it is unreasonable because they wouldn't want to hear complaining/asking why you didn't get accepted. GOOD LUCK!!
I like the application but I feel like there could be more detail in some spots. Over all the application was well written and very understanding. Good luck!
That is understandable, but as said - I will only ask once. But this is only if I get denied with no response, just a random deny. I am sure that if I am denied a staff member will leave some suggestions and advice. Where exactly? I would love to make my application as great as possible - thanks for the reply by the way!
Hey Marucha10, my name is Ghost and I go around anonymously helping players for the good of the community. I will just give you a bit of advice to help you improve your application and give you a much better chance at getting Moderator. If you want a reason on why you should trust what I say then I will tell you I am an ex Head Admin of multiple large servers. I have created application formats many times so I understand the questions well. I want to start off with something extremely important in the Moderator applications. You have missed a question that asks 'Is there anything else you would like to say?' This question is the perfect question to boost you above all the other applicants. This is where you can write whatever you like so this is the perfect chance to convince the staff that you're the right for the job. When I read this question, my mind changes it to 'Why should we choose you over the other applicants'. This is probably the most important paragraph you write in this whole application and it needs to be good. I would say you need to write between 6 - 20 lines on this and just remember this question is one of the most important questions you can ever see. This question has no answer meaning it's perfect to boost yourself. Now lets talk about what you did put in your application. On the question 'Why do you want to be a Moderator? What is your goal as a Squadcraft Moderator?' you need to make sure this is in at least 2 paragraphs. The first explaining why you want to be a Moderator and the second on your goals as a Moderator. This question is very rarely answered correctly. People give maybe one point for the first part of the question and some will give none at all. If I list the points you made on why you would like to be a Moderator it will say: A great chance for you to help out the community • Keep new players on SquadCraft for as long as possible. That is just one point. Like most people you have covered up the fact there is only one point for you wanting to be Moderator and added random and irrelevant things. You may feel you need to extend your answer but you have started to talk about when you began playing Squadcraft and how you wanted to one day apply for Moderator and putting a smile on players faces. It's nice to try make players happy but that will be ignored when the time comes for the owner to come and check your application. You have gave enough goals for me to be happy. The question asked for one goal by saying the word 'goal'. When you see this it may not have been made intentionally to only ask for one goal so adding two goals makes sure you are safe from this being the reason for the denial of your application. I will not go into too much detail about what you wrote as your goals but they are perfectly acceptable and I think you have answered the question the best you could. Onto the How Do I Treat Younger Players? This is something that has two options for a good answer but one answer is not liked as much as the other. It is clear you have chosen to treat younger players differently but you haven't made a point that younger players need a more warmer response. I have been high ranks on many servers and I have seen plenty of children being spoken to like a teenager would be spoken to and they don't take it so well. Children tend to overreact over small and silly things such as asking them not to spam. If you are not friendly with them they will overreact and that causes troubles such as spamming, swearing and even quitting the server completely. As a Moderator you need to make sure you keep things calm and this is one important thing to keep the peace. When you speak about 'Do you have any experience as a staff member of any organization?' you are making it seem like Moderators get lots of commands and need a strong understanding. If you understood the server and what the Moderators had the power to do you would know that they have maybe 2 or 3 commands that will effect the server, I believe they have /mute, /kick and possible /jail but I am unsure on the /jail because I am not a Moderator myself. Due to this you do not need a strong understanding of Bukkit. It's nice you have understandings of the commands but you don't need them and this again is irrelevant. There is a question that asks 'What kind of skills do you have?' and this is where you can put things like an understanding of Bukkit commands. That's all I have to say to your application but I personally would not accept this, if you add the question I mentioned at the start if this reply you may have a chance. -Ghost
T I really appreciate that you took all that time to write that to help me out, I will update the application ASAP Honestly wondering why you aren't a staff member right now!
The question you spoke of: " Is There anything else you would like to say?" is not in the Moderator Application Format
If you look at other applications you will clearly see that question has been added but the format has not been updated yet.
Ok, thanks again Updated everything except the first question, I am going to take time to think this through - I want to do it right.
I have reached the 1000 word character limit in the application so the FINAL question will be here for now: Is there anything else you would like to say? I feel as I am the best candidate for your next addition in the SquadCraft staff team because there aren't other applicants as devoted or as determined to help out the community than me. My characteristics include being able to keep a leveled - head, which I feel is important in a server where players come and go. Also, because or my past experience as an Admin on another server, I know what I am heading into, I am ready for this position. Finally, I believe I am ready for the job because I have done sufficent research on what I need to know on SquadCraft, this includes looking over the commands moderators receive, the punishment charts moderators have, along with additional staff members forum posts on tips they have for all the new staff recruits. I'm even requesting for any current staff members to leave me any helpful tips, when they can.
Add more to as moderator how will you effect SquadCraft, sorry for not telling you the right details.
Well I'm already over the 1000 character limit, so I'm not too sure how I can add more. Some of the application has already spread into the comments so...
I rrly enjoyed ur application , I hope you get moderator ASAP to stop naughty hackers +1000000000000 Can i please get tips on skywarz? I am a noob at it
Thanks for the support, but sorry do I know you? I haven't seen you on SkyWars at all, what's your name in-game?
No, I just join the server like 2 days ago and I go on like super early in the day so that's why Your welcome BTW
I've played with you in-game a lot and your active, I hope they promote you to mod, you seem mature and ready +1
Please be specific on where detail is needed, but I've actually reached the 1000 character limit anyways.

I would love to but this character limitation is really affecting how much I can add.... I'll try my best.
8 Likes & 460+ views Thank you all so much for the support, hopefully with your help, I can earn this amazing position on SquadCraft
Hmm... Are the pizzaking247, Erik, TrillestxAnt, and Deathdiesdied all alts I see? I mean, one of those "Users", Erik, only has one message on the forums, which is on this thread. (Most of these "Users" only have about 1-10 messages on the forums) Also, I have never even heard of any of these "Users" on the forums, and most of them were created after this thread was posted. If they're alts: -1 <---- Also, I want to apologize if I'm wrong. If I'm incorrect: +1
Not alternates as far as I know, I honestly wouldn't even be able to come up with that many e-mails. BTW I only know 2 of them in-game @Kamshark7 I can understand how you are concerned though. Also, deathdiesdied has applied for builder, and is on MCMMO nearly every day.
Ok now, before you make those accusations, post some pictures or any type of evidence of me being "rude & disgraceful". Please do, because your accusations are pretty simpleminded, and I would love to see you attempt to prove yourself right to the others reading this
Any advice on the app? I just wanna keep the comments on topic, by the way I will make sure to keep veteran players like you content on the server, if I get this position : ) @Maxxy Still waiting for your response @Andy_Plays_MC

I know, but I don't want staff to be annoyed by players tagging them, especially if its on my application. I'm sure Surge is busy enough anyways at the moment :3
Wow, I know I said +1 already but you seem very mature and calm when someone disagree's with you or wants to start an argument and includes profanity towards you. Honestly +2 xD
I honestly just stick with one plan which is to say " <3 " whenever I get hate, the person usually just gets mad when I say that. Haha , thanks by the way, I appreciate the support
1k+ views and 10 likes, thanks for the support everyone. If only surge would notice this application lol
This application is finally 2 months old and I'm still getting plenty of support from all of you guys, thank you so much <3
