A helper is a player adviser. A very dedicated community member that will share insight and recommend improvements to the staff members. The idea is, if we get 1 person for each gamemode, and that person plays that gamemode a lot, it will generate a lot more ideas and insight compared to me just trying to brainstorm up updates. So helpers have, in a way, a direct influence on the server's future, but no real power.
So to summerize this: @surgetheurge is finally going to listen to the community? maybe squadcraft isnt dead xD
If that's all a helper is, why the fuck would there be one? Are there not already forums for ideas and suggestions for servers, and are there not ideas being submitted, and mods submitting ideas as well? Oh wait, EVERYTHING IS IGNORED. How about, before you implement a new rank that is pointless and that you will not listen to, actually go through, take the time to read peoples ideas and to actually improve your servers, not take every drunken impulse you get that's slowly collapsing your server. By the time this is done, you're going to have every player who still plays on your server having a staff rank and no players to help

The improbs usually happen over time due to euther hacking or ping, in which its a ping issue for him.
I didn't give him any person to do anything. Hes oped on the server he is writing code for and I don't care what he does, it's a good server. Also where do you get off telling me what to do in a condescending tone? Also what's wrong with giving him permission to promote and demote staff? He is a developer that is heavily invested in minecraft combat. He is willing to put forward the time and effort to get elite specialized staff that would put in the time and effort to know what is hacks, what isn't, what's legit, ect. It's a lot different to moderating like skyblock or creative. Now I did tell him we're not having separate staff, but the point is that he knows a lot better than me what's good for a kitpvp server. I wouldn't mind making him staff manager ether. Granted he promoted a hacker to helper (LOL) but for some reason he actually thought that guy was an existing global mod. well you know, spending 3 years making a server grants some benefits. Like breaking rules lol. I know I know. Anyway I wouldn't even consider myself a staff member. Just a shadow developing the server when everyone is sleeping. Development has been stale recently. Pretty broke lol. I found a way to make money with the server hardware that can hold 20k players but only holds 40.. lol. Ill use that money to hire devs and buy advertising soon. Also I need to hire a bunch of devs to just do what I need done so I don't have to do it myself. Like the crates are absolute garbage right now and need redone. But that's hours of tedious config work.
unless my whole community is 12 people, that statement is not true. Last time i checked we had like 3,000 active player profiles.
