I don't configure plugin templates, you also don't write plugins in Java/python.. JavaScript is web like what this forums uses. Minecraft is written in Java (Client & Server), thus what squad uses is Spigot which is written in Java (Spigot is a project created from forking Bukkit) Bukkit is as written in Java created after hmod died. Bukkit has the api that nearly everyone uses. I use eclipse as stated above (http://eclipse.org) and maven to create and add dependencys such as Bukkit/Spigot.
