The biggest problem with this idea would be people nicking themselves surgetheurge and asking for people's passwords and other stuff and just spamming people.
I do agree but I see surge's point maybe make it where they can just shorten their name? For instance sergetheurge could be shortened to surge, or Oman0202 to Oman. Just a suggestion might be difficult.
That's a great idea for a plugin. Using a command to tell the server how long your name should be. So if I would use the command /shorten 5 it would change surgetheurge to surge
