This will make your minecraft use ram more efficiently. Therefore using less of it. Before this my minecraft would run out of ram and start freezing at 1 gb, now it runs at 200 mb and only allocating 300mb. So the rest of your computer gets more ram and runs faster as well.

if you don't have 64 bit jdk and it cries to you that you can not allocate more then 500mb just change the 4000 to whatever the highest number it allows you to put, but if you can only do 500, that should be fine. If you want more, make sure you have a 64 bit os and then install java 8 jdk 64 bit.

that a good way 2 crash your machine lol surge it doesn't work. If you came up with that your self, try again. if you took if of the internet , stupid .... lol hehe
what is :parallelGCthreads=8 ... ur java needs work no offence. and personally , i would make it so it uses it more efficiently AND has more ram allocated , so it can run at a much higher fps.

must be my jar config. iv set up my java independently so i can easily make my own mods and plugins , stuff from my end will work on yours tho , strange. i dont have paralell threads on mine i replaced them with dual assess, whereas normal parralel threads would be fixed acsess , so ill just stick to my own jvm arguments

i have java 8.1davis . its my custom, version i made it , it runs a fair bit faster too , im thinking of selling it back to the creators of java. I made some improvments and i sent them a demo. and its 128 bit now , pretty cool hey? ! @surgetheurge

okay well if what you said is true you probably have a better chance of figuring this problem out. Also whats the point of running a 128 bit application on a 64 bit computer?

What's the point of this when there's optifine :3

there really is none , unless you have a very fast computer. Its simmilar to 128 bit OS and is you change java to be 128 bit , and change various configs and mscofig files , your computer can handle it , it just needs 2gb of memory to cache, which isnt a problem on a 16 gb ram machine :) :/ and i did fix it , and adding more ram instead of the amount you suggested, is probably a good idea.

and 128 bit is amazing , especially for a newer market of higher end, better quality machines.
Computers keep improving , so why shouldnt the operating platforms?

Optifine can help but all optifine does it gives more detailed settings in your settings for you to tweak. This actually allows your mc to have more RAM (it's like giving mc room to stretch it's abilities).

Go to task manager , performance , then check the total memory amount there. It should say it in mb

You have 5.8 gab of ram , so 5800 mb max , idk why it would have failed for u because u have plenty of ram

Well try to put less than u put when you copied and pasted. Like 500mb or something
