Please I Would Like To Know.

Look, its been almost 2 weeks that skyblock has been down. Now, i know people have been saying it is being fixed for certain things. Yes, I get that. What I want to know is what is REALLY going on with it.. I hate to be "that guy" but I funded Squadcraft for a reason. I know that there are other servers that need to be fixed they are more important than skyblock, yeah I get that. I have been hearing that since I bought Diamond to begin with. Maybe it is time to get people to help Surge and Yonda get all these fixes and make sure this will not happen again or not happen for such a long time. In one week we had 4 servers down at once (creative, skyblock, Mcmmo, and factions). I want to keep this server alive, that is one of the main reasons i donated, so why are we having this problem now?
Please, I think all of us would like to know the truth of most if not all of these questions.

I know surge said he would hire people to help admin and keep servers up and hopefully add more such as prison and other minigames

Well said HammieRae. Does this server have the Skylord rank things like on some other servers? Like where you had to complete all challenges such as melonfarmer, sugarfarmer, and things like getting 64 emeralds, all wool colours and music disks? When you got to 1000 points you got the Skylord rank? I remember completing all the challenges and getting Skylord on another server

 

The challenge exists, but I don't know if it works. Still working on medium tasks.

the rank is there but it doesn't update the players.. I have heard it was down for fixing, i have also heard they got rid of skyblock in general. I want to know truthfully WHAT is going on. No mind games. NOTHING. i want to know.

I have been calm, I just want to know.

 

Here's what I've observed in the last hour. Surge came on a little while ago, and attempted to restart skyblock. Discovered this when I found myself in the hub. Prior to the restart, an update was installed that was not compatible with something else installed, so it did not come back up. (Keep in mind that it worked fine until then.) Last I saw was that he was attempting to upgrade everything to be compatible again. At this point in time, I am unable to connect to it through the main IP, nor any of the secret IPs. I'll post any new information I obtain.

 

Skyblock has returned, and is accessible by all. (At least for now)

 

There are some glitches. During the upgrade, the default island party limit was reduced to 4. If you had more than 4 members, your island roster will be confused, and the island's owner will have to reinvite everyone. I will pass this on to someone higher up to get fixed.

Edit: I have left a message with surge to get this addressed.

Update update: When new players connect and use the /is command, instead of being presented with the new menu, they are presented with a book that they are unable to use. This leaves them unable to use the new menu system to play. When issuing the manual command to create a new island, they are spawned into the void, with no island. The fix is to grant group.member to all players, as a default inheritance permission.
