I don't know how this happened, but every time I open a browser, this always is my default tab. Someone help me. It's getting annoying. @Lostvayne @Twerkae @Anyone Who Knows Computers Very Well
You must've set this site as your home page, meaning it shows up every time you open your browser. Try navigating your way around to not make it your home page.
I have went so settings, but it said nothing about setting a page as your home page. Or am I doing this wrong?
Did you download something? It may have hijacked your browser's home page and set it as something else. It has happened to me with another phony search engine called conduit. What you have to do is go into the browser's native files (I'm assuming you use Chrome, which you should be using anyway). To do this, use the run feature, assuming you use Windows, and type in %appdata%. Look for chrome, and once you're inside the folder for Chrome, look for and delete anything that may have any file that is named similarly to the phony search engine or is part of it.
I haven't downloaded anything that would harm my computer. Actually I haven't even downloaded anything for the past 2 weeks. But I'll take your word and try. If that doesn't work, I'll just re-install the browser.
Lol I'm a hardware enthusiast but u should give reinstalling chrome a try if u haven't already Sometimes if Google isn't ur home page if u go on the Google site it will prompt you to set your default browser to google
You should make sure that the "open a specific page" is unchecked or if it is checked click set pages and remove all pages and add the page you want. I would personally just check the open the new tab page option. https://gyazo.com/498c7d3e963e60739bc77b7deaa489b1 Also try to go to the settings of chrome and go to the extensions tab on the left hand side and make sure no odd looking extension is installed on your browser as it may be malware.
There we go that's what I tried to say. Still, go into the browser files to make sure there aren't remaining files.
If they get into the actual browser it'd just be better to uninstall and delete everything having to do with the browser and do a fresh install because some stuff goes pretty deep into the files.
