3/30/14 Faction server downtime

There used to be a place where back-end unprotected server ips were exposed. It's gone now. Someone saved the faction server ip and are attacking it. We don't have ddos protection on the back-end faction server. Therefore the hosting company automatically null-routes and shut downs the faction server whenever anyone hits it with any sized ddos attack. It could even be a $1 ddos attack and it would still shut it down. So I am moving the faction server ip so people can't attack it anymore. This will take a network restart and until the faction server is moved, it will be on and off like it has been. Sorry for the inconvenience.

 

Thank god its not mcmmo, because always play on mcmmo xD.

Thanks again dude but seriously thank you for explaining this to the people of squadcraft that enjoy the factions server, it clears a lot of things up with the people always asking me "WHY IS FACTIONS DOWN" or "OPEN FACTIONS DRPIGU"
Also surge if you do see this, There is a command that makes players be able to spam constantly. I would say here but it would probably just bring to much more spam to the server. It involves bukkit and /mute doesn't "stop" them from doing it. They can just continue to spam on the server. Thanks surge

So a new build came out for 1.7.5 and the server has been up for 6 hours now. Yay. I am also talking to the intrepid support, looking for a solution to fix the ddos attacks on the faction server.

yea boi were lucky tat noah wasnt the leader cuz im pretty sure tat some1 from thearchon which is a very big fan of noah is being noah's little doggy and ddos the server

 

I pretty sure the person ddosing the server is not with Noah and is doing it of his own accord.

 

for once i agree with Caleb Noah left cuz surge and Noah always argued no one would ddos the server just cuz Noah plays on the archon ._. im banned on squad now XD

Well its never not come up. But it crashes and comes back up all the time. I've seen it down for quite some time before(about 20+ hours)

 

I agree with Caleb cuz the server goes down for almost 2 days kinda sucks but it wont ever go down entirely

 

Squadcraft will never go down

 

The command: /bukkit:me <msg>

 

As long as it takes for Surge to wake up and go to console :3
