Just talked to some mod friends on SW, and apparently they don't have /jail or /tempban. How are hackers dealt with on this server? Literally every game I'm in there's a hacker. Am I missing something? Can you give them one of the two commands, preferably the latter?
Probably for the same reason as unbanning all hackers 3/4 times. He doesn't mind what type of player is on his server, as long as they are on.
This is the reason i had stopped playing to many hackers and when there is. A hacker the mods literally tell me "get proof" and when i do they still cant do anything about it so there is no point in mods in my opinion :/
I agree. It is kind of stupid that there is no way to deal with hackers in game. But people whee abusing /jail, so he lost trust in everyone.
Maybe we can talk to surge about hiring a head moderator. And what is surge doing? The apps are just sitting there.
As mean and hypocritical as this might sound, this is your problem, not mine. (I mean no disrespect) What I'm saying is I'm fine to bring attention to a blatant problem on the server, but I moderate the rival server. If you guys want action to be taken, you gotta take the action yourself. For example, you can all message surge. Make a big thread about the problem. Tell him the consequences etc. Make it personal Good luck
I sent him a huge letter on jail, god and fly but I dont even think he read it. He just said no because it was abused so much before.
I understand his reasoning but I know I would never dare abuse jail I can't speak for the other mods (all five of them) but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't either. Especially Tarik with his 50+ abuse reports. Also, the original question, how are hackers dealt with? The mods find reports on forums, send them to surge and wait for him to see them. Sometimes instant, sometimes multiple days.

well if that doesn't happen than good luck with this server had fun times but there's nothing for me here anymore i wont be playing until the server enviroment is fine with mods being able to jail hackers otherwise whats the point of mods @surgetheurge like for real give then there perms back otherwise just demote them XD
He rather have Anti-Cheat ban innocent people/ not even ban the hackers when they are flying then actually get them banned.
Honestly, it was rarely abused. People just get incredibly butthurt whenever they face their consequences, and then they call abuse. Of course there were a few instances of abuse but most of the time...people just get butthurt lol And he never really trusted us anyways; he always wanted plugins and ignored his admin most of the time (from what I saw)
