I was just wondering what the plan is for the server and in what direction surge is taking us in? So far this has been very unclear, with random improvements here and there and talk of a prison server however there hasent been a plan shared with us. @surgetheurge I want you to think on how you want the server to look in a year and tell use. Tell use your vision for the server, so we have something to look forward to! @EA_Sharks Please let Surge know about this and share your thoughts as this very important.
I think all we need is a YouTuber, ever since Noah left there has not been what you call "a lot" of people on since then.
SquadCraft needs a lot of things, which is why we need to come up with a plan. We can't put this all on Surge, this is a team effort!
All we do is come up with ideas and throw them at surge. So I don't think that would help much, unless surge found a developer.
Maybe all of us mods could help on the "Prison Server" so it will get done faster. When it is finished we can get on with new content. If all of us staff would be able to help you surge we would be able to get this new content flowing in. P.S. I take it you have the server set up but it is white listed.
I also think the hub server needs a major makeover with a New spawn Pets Particle effects And cool features (be creative with this part ) I also think the existing servers need a big makeover before going too crazy adding new servers xD
This would take surge along time alone. I don't there is anyone surge trusts enough yet to have the job of a "Dev"
I think he should spend more time on the server games, because all you do in hub is afk, parkour, and choose what game you are going to. I think sparrow is planning on making a new hub in the future.
I agree Surge has trust issues, but you can't blame him after what happened with Yonda and Surge. The one person that Surge trusted with the server betraying SquadCraft, that was got to leave a mark. However the whole Yonda vs. Surge is a highly sensitive topic so let's not talk about that. The past is in the past that's all I'll say.

Well I feel like noah is well known is a sense of like trivia. Where people heard of him and seen his videos. I can't really say that a lot of people actively view his content and actually care for him. Like it's like he is that friend that you see on your way somewhere once every few months but you don't actually care enough to like do an activity with him. Me and noah recorded for a lot of months before minecon. I don't remember the exact numbers. However most of the people that were getting noah's signature, he would ask them if they knew me, and thats how he knew if they were an active sub or just someone whom knows whom he is. I don't think anyone even knew whom surgetheurge is, even though we recorded a constantly, daily, lets play for months. This really makes me think what makes servers popular. I remember huskymudkips was telling me about how he can't get players on his own minecraft server, he would have less then 100 players online and he is a 2 million sub youtuber. This goes to show that it takes more then a single youtuber to make a server really huge. I think the most important thing is a quality server with no lag and its very fun to play. Then friends tell each other about the server and drag their friends onto the server. The server then spreads like a virus. I guess that is what happened to squadcraft, we were one of the first people to make a quality skywars server, we had excellent factions server, and we were one of the first servers to offer the auto join. Players would click a sign and instantly play hunger games. I remember if you wanted to play mcsg it would take forever for a game to get started. First waiting for players to gather, then waiting for map voting, then more waiting. So in a way we had a very high quality server, and noah did help start the fire that jump started the server and then everyone told each other about the server and got it super popular. So bottom line is, noah did help get the server started. I think after a while he didn't have as much of an impact. He was just there to take almost all the money and buy new computers, gaming consoles, flat screentvs and cars with it. I wish we had that money now, we could use it to invest in some extremely money efficient advertising methods to at least keep the server afloat while we to work on the next big thing and the next big player source. I never spent any of the money that I got. The most I've ever purchased was a new computer, I am still living the same way I lived before squadcraft got big. I have started to invest money into those extremely high efficiency advertising methods and we should feel it soon. Still. The server and I are in the same boat. The server pays my 1000 dollar a month rent money and my 500 bucks a month 'live' money like it has been for years, and like the server helps me. I will help the server. It will be allowed to dip into my bank account till there is no money left. What I am trying to say is, when the server doesn't pay for itself, I will cover the difference. I think that is going to happen this month as the month is already 30% done, yet there are only 500 dollars of donations. If donations were to stop completely, we would probably be able to run the server for half a year without making a single cent.
me to :/ I dont think anyone wants to grow up but you cant not face the reality that one day we all will be a adult and its what gonna happen its a reality we will be adults in only a couple years. I say we cant just let it get to us and we can be who we want act like we want and pick what we are gunna be. Sorry for the necropost, but.If surge were to do all that alone wouldn't it be kinda easy?Because I made some custom partials for my server and I am the Owner & DEV, but my server is still in the works so, it kinda is weird both ways.
