What is your Minecraft name? My name is Extremedude99 or more commonly known as ‘ex’ or ‘extreme’ Why do you play Minecraft? Minecraft is a really fun way to spend my free time. I love to interact and make new friends; some of the friends I have made have become some of my best and I am grateful to even have the opportunity to call them my friend. A lot of the people I meet are really nice and I love to spend time talking to them. I am at home a lot so have a lot of spare time which I love using on Minecraft. Minecraft is also a great way to experiment and produce buildings and builds that your imagination can think of. I like how you can suppress your skills at building and communicating with others whilst working on pvp and fighting skills. The opportunities are endless and that’s what so unique about Minecraft. The different amounts of servers and mini games, etc, bring a whole new aspect to entertainment. I would like to develop these skills, especially communication, with becoming mod. What is your time zone? Greenwich Mean Time. (UK) When are you usually online? I play straight after school, if there is no school, weekend or any time I am not anywhere else, I play pretty much throughout the whole day. I must warn that I have exams in and around the May time so I will be doing revision and will most likely not be able to play as much. However, this will not affect my capabilities of being a mod and will not impact how I am in game. How many hours a day can you play? How many hours do you actually play? On the server I can play for around 9 hours give or take an hour. I will have the forums open in the background that I will check every time I remember or get the chance. I would consider myself one of the more active players on the server. How long have you been playing SquadCraft? I have been playing on squad craft for around 3 and a half years I would say that it has been a forever lasting fun and great community to be a part of. I am honored to be a part of the server’s community for so long I have seen the server at its best and worst and honestly, through all criticism, Surge has done a great job of keeping the server alive on his own for so long. However, as much as I love Squadcraft, unfortunately there is room for improvement with the server and particularly with the lack of mods. I would love and be honored to help out and make Squadcraft greater than it’s ever been. What's your favorite memory on SquadCraft? Oh gosh this is a tricky one. My favourite memory would have to be back in 2013 or 2014 I don’t remember which one. Me and my faction on mcmmo spent over a week building this impossible and unraidable base. Then Surge reset all the claims and it got raided overnight D: lol. That base lasted about 4-5 months without being touched, found or raided. Only the most trusted members were allowed in and we had so much armour and so much op stuff. It was honestly amazing and it’s a shame that mcmmo doesn’t get the players and activity that it used to. Unfortunately, I am no longer in contact with any of the faction members. However, sometimes old friends come on and it is so good. We spend hours catching up on what’s been going and on and how we’re doing etc. It would mean the world to me if I was able to stay in contact with the friends I have made Where do you spend your time at SquadCraft? I am now mainly on Prison with the occasional kitpvp and creative. I play on prison as it is a great way to improve pvp skills, meet loads of great people and have an objective that you have to work towards for months. I love the fact that there is a goal and an achievement at the end. The end being the rank ‘boss’. I am lucky enough and honoured enough that I was the first player to reach boss. Unfortunately, due to duping glitch, Surge had to reset everyone Soldier+ rank back down to Soldier, this made it so a lot more people had a fair chance of racing for the boss rank. This is why it gives me great pleasure of saying that I was first to all of the ranks Soldier+. A tremendous achievement that I am very happy to have experienced. I would also like to add that I am a Spartan donator on Prison. I also play on creative as it is an easily accessible server to go and let your imagination go wild. However, I did use creative to build a big and romantic maze for my other half for valentine’s day that I am proud of. Great day thanks to the accessibility of creative thanks to Squadcraft. Creative is all about imagination and that is why I’m guessing people love to play it. People, including myself, love to test our abilities as builders and love to see where our imagination will take us. Some of the results are truly breath taking. I am the least active on kitpvp but when I do get onto kitpvp, it is to warm up my pvp skills and improve my skills as an instant health pvper. I prefer the gapple pvp on the prison server however, instant health is also a fun alternative that I will play from time to time. Why do you want to be a moderator? What is your goal as a SquadCraft moderator? There are many, many reasons why I would like to be mod so I will try my best to summarise them all. First and probably the most common is to distinguish the use of hackers. Hackers are every server’s worst nightmare as it truly ruins the community and playing experience for innocence and legit players. Honestly, I think it’s safe to say that all mods and players want all hackers to be gone, as a mod and as someone who takes pride in achievements, such as becoming mod, I will try my very best to not only, distinguish hackers but to listen to players and take on board what they have to say. Secondly spammers, advertisers and other perhaps ‘less’ serious offences. These sly rule breakers are perhaps the most annoying, I know from personal experience throughout the years that when someone comes on and spams a sever ip, not only is it very annoying for me, but to everyone else playing and trying to have fun. There is a reason we play and Squadcraft and not their servers. However, almost every mod applicator says the same cliché ‘I want to stop every hacker and stop rule breakers etc etc’. I took this into consideration and have come up with a solution. I have created a thread earlier on and it has recently gotten very positive feedback. I will attach the thread here: I'm sure many, many others will agree that pvp warpers, void warpers and runners are one of the most annoying and aggravating things on prison. In order to improve this, I have come up with a few options: Making /p h have a timer, preferably 2 - 4 seconds or maybe more to counter the warpers, adding void to be an instant death or to put barriers up so that they cannot just run and jump into the void; also linked to warping. This next one is a bit debatable and will be open for discussion, but maybe make pvp smaller to counter their running. Another point is that maybe warpers and rule breakers should get a higher punishment, instead of maybe a 3hour jail, make it 6. Instead of 12, make it 24 etc etc. Also, prison really need mods, countless rule breakers and hacker’s day in, day out that are having no punishment and are ruining the experience for others. I would be happy to be mod, many others such as Lordnelson12, Cheeky_speedos, Bluecheesegirl1, and arguably, myself are all liable for the mod position and I feel as if that would make prison an overall better experience for not just current players, but newer players also. If you agree with the mod part I will be happy to contact them (and myself) to create a mod application if necessary; however, some already have made an application. The point of this thread was to focus on smaller, but equally annoying and disrupting, rule breakers. The offensives listened are all, in my opinion, the most common and most annoying. Now you’re probably thinking this is all well and good, but I feel that it is my best interest and desire to punish these warpers and general rule breakers. I can also do the liberty of blocking off the void area to counter to void warping, I can introduce a cool down timer on the /p h command. I also plan on bringing up the idea that if there is a warper, and he/she is caught on recording or any type of evidence is made, that there should maybe be a more serious punishment. For example, we could implement a plug-in where if a player warps and is caught, they have less durability on all armour that they wear for a period of 24hours. Or maybe they cannot open any chests to regain armour and supplies for maybe 2hours. These are all non-perfect ideas so please feel free to improve them in the comments. With all this, I am able to help out on the forums also. For example, help create formats, manage forums for any rule breakers and profanity. I will be able to create help threads for anyone who is wanting to, or thinking about creating a mod app or builders app. I can recommend plug-ins and new ideas to help make the server smooth and running well. On top of all this I will promise to work as hard as I can to implement these promises and suggestions. As a moderator, how will you affect SquadCraft? Obviously, as a mod I will try to stop all hackers and either jail them, mute them, the time that these punishments will be in order will be dependent on the intensity of the offence. One of the main ways I will affect the server is to bring a different approach to in game and forum moderation. I am very open with chat in game so I am able quickly help players who are in need and very open with having conversations with players. I love meeting new players so I will often msg players that I may have not seen before and just say hi. Sometimes the greatest friendships come from this. However, I don’t want people to view me as a person who is only mod to inflict punishments on rule breakers, however I will do so when necessary; I want players to view me a person who they can come to when they need advice or someone that they can talk to knowing that it will stay confidential. I would like players to see me as a friend, and not just some mod who is only there to inflict punishments, Also, I have seen on @Crixiaro’s mod app that he has included the use of a loyalty rank or anything to do with loyalty. I think that this is a great idea. I would love to work with him in implementing it (if he allows) but I would also love to bring this idea to Prison. The reward system will follow: All dates you will be needed to be active daily 1 month - $1,000,000 3months - $10,000,000 6 months - $20,000,000 One year - $50,000,000 Every month after the one-year stage milestone the reward will be a payment of $10,000,000 Other ways I can effect SquadCraft: As well as all these features I have informed in recent answers; I will also have the necessary standard quality’s a mod needs. I will prevent hackers from just roaming from server to server. If a player is caught hacking and jailed say on the Prison server, and later on I am informed that the same player is hacking on say KitPvP, I will have no worries in jailing that player again on KitPvP and maybe informing Surge that this player may need a stricter punishment such as a ban or a tempban Overall I try and make SquadCraft a friendly and as fun to play on as possible Do you want Mod just to have Mod next to your name? No, I already have the Spartan name next to mine. If a mod applier wants mod just to have the ’mod’ prefix next to his/her name, the application will be short and have next to no effort put in. However, with the recent lack of mods and mods resigning I feel as if the server is more danger as ever. I would hate to see the server die out or even completely die due to something that could have been avoided such as lack of mods and lack of punishments for ruler breakers. Rule breakers are the number 1 cause for players to quit as they get tired and fed up of the same small number of immature players ruining the experience for the rest of them. What happens if you are not chosen to be a moderator? If I do not get mod I will continue to play like a normally have, I will take on the constructive criticism and strive to not only make myself better, but to make a future mod app better if I am allowed to make a new one in the future. Again, my main focus is the server and making it a better place so I will try and do that if I am not mod. Not being mod will have a huge impact in how successful this will be, but I guess I will just have to try my best. Moderator is still very important to me because SquadCraft is the only server I play on and I honestly love it. I would hate to see anything bad happen, that being said there are still some things to work on that I will be very determined to fix. I want to be able to change this so that the server can be played on by many players who find it a great server and great place to spend their free time. What kind of skills do you have? As a moderator point of view, I am aware and familiar with the needed commands and permission. This has come from me being mod, admin and even running my own server at one point. I have had experience with pretty much all positions on Minecraft servers so I am familiar with how they are run and what works and what doesn’t with my experience etc. I would never say I would be the best mod in the world as there is someone, something always better, but I will strive to be and do my very best at doing trying to be. I am very good with remembering, not only big, but small details as well. I am aware of my surroundings and I like to know what and when something is happening. I am very observant, say if I’m in pvp and waiting for someone to come down, sometimes there is an invis or a player a few hundred blocks away. I am quite known to just run out into the middle of nowhere and kill something/someone that no one saw except me. Have you ever been banned? If so, why? I have never been banned. However, I was falsely temp-banned from MCMMO by a mod who claims his brother was on his account when I killed him. Have you ever cheated, used hacks? If so, why? Sadly, and it kills me to say this, yes I used to hack. It was 2-3 years ago and my friends got me into it. The group of friends I was hanging around with found out about hacks. I had no idea what hacks even were so me being the young, unknowing kid I was decided to try them out, before I knew it I was a hacker. I loved to win as I said recently so hacks were perfect. However, that’s also when I had my first encounter with a mod. He jailed me and I didn’t even know why xD. He then informed me that hacks were unacceptable and I proceeded to uninstall them. A stupid mistake by an unaware child. Since then I have matured and am fully aware of all rules and what is and what isn’t acceptable. How do you treat younger players? I would tell people to treat everyone how they want to be treated. So I would be respectful towards them. Seeing as I am the max rank for Prison, I am no stranger to helping out others who are in need and/or starting up. For example, I would pay a new A rank a sum of $10,000,000 and they would get super happy because to them, 10mil is huge, but for me, 10mil really isn’t that much. It is a great feeling when you get a message like ‘OMG thanks! You’re the best! Also in pvp I would help out the newer players who do not have the ‘op’ gear that the regular players do. I tend to let new, lower ranks who are maybe just in iron armour (kit pvp) players team as I know how frustrating it can be to just keep being killed over and over again. Helping out younger players is actually quite important, I started off as a new young player and I loved it on Squad. However, with the increase with hackers and rule breakers younger players tend not to stay as they can’t get their way. In order to keep these younger players and increase popularity I will try my best to deal with this the best I can. Do you use TeamSpeak or skype? I am able to use both, however I do prefer Skype. I am on skype almost all the time with my laptop and phone so I can easily and quickly reply to any messages. List the things you've done to help the SquadCraft community and the SquadCraft server. If you are an active on the hack/ddos and report rule breakers threads I am a regular recorder of hackers and warpers on Squadcraft. I have got a large number of hackers jailed and even banned and I have got an even bigger number of warpers jailed. I have also taken screenshots of many hack threats, ddos threats, spammers, advertisers and other messages that I feel are worth reporting. Like I have said before, SquadCraft is my main focus so bringing down rule breakers is a job that I do not like to do, but WILL do if necessary. I honestly wish less as many hackers, warpers and rule breakers would come onto SquadCraft, however I can counter it by jailing them and informing Surge. How many applications have you submitted before? When was the last one? I have submitted maybe 2 others? Each time I have got denied and took upon the feedback from the comments and come back better. It has been said that my last app was much better than the one before, but there was no need for mods back then so I am hoping I get accepted now. Getting feedback from the comments and people is a great way of becoming a better person and a better mod. Not only can I get advice from active players, but from mods and ex-mods that know what it is like to be a mod and what to deal with and to expect. Is there anything else you would like to say? I have also volunteered and been staff at numerous cake sales, parent’s evenings and pancake sales at school. Sometimes when numbers are low it gets intense and people need to stay calm under pressure. These volunteering activities may not be obviously linked to being mod, but they are more than you may think. Hey, my name’s Cameron or Extremedude99 and I am 16 years old. I first got into Minecraft at the age of 11 when my favourite youtuber at the time decided to play it. I was hooked from the beginning, I decided to ask for Minecraft for my birthday and to my relief I got it. I was so confused, but quickly got to grips with all the crafting and keyboard controls. About a week in I did some searching and found SquadCraft from Noah’s channel. I got on and got onto mcmmo as I thought it would be a great way to start. I was instantly hooked and proceeded to purchase sufficient amounts of donor ranks and donor packages not only to benefit me, but to benefit the server as well. I noticed a donation goal and just wanted to help out. Since that day I have made some of the greatest people I have ever met. Unfortunately, I am no longer in contact with some of these people, but have made even better ones along the way. Who knew that from Minecraft some of the best and long lived friendships could come. Buying Minecraft was one of the best decision I have made and I am thankful for all the great people that chose SquadCraft because without this server, I wouldn’t have been able to meet anyone I would have. I also love to sports. All sports including either a racket and/or a ball. Football, handball badminton, tennis. I love them. I have been a member of my local football team for a total of 8 years now and don’t plan on stopping. I am lucky enough to be a good enough quality and have grown into the team so well that my coach has awarded me the captains armband. For those who do not know what this is, There’s basically 3 positions in football. Coach/manager, captain and then players. The captain tells players what to do and how to improve in the game. I am very proud of captaining my team to 3 cup finals (winning 2). I am also very, very proud of managing (for the first time in the club’s history) to manage to win the league. Overall I just love sport. My future career? Hmm that’s tricky. My first thought would be a career in football. Again, I am very lucky to have been scouted by two professional teams (Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City). A career in football would honestly would be my lifelong dream, but failing that, I would aim for a career in IT. I would consider myself comfortable and able to work well with computers so that would be my second option. I hate losing. That’s something that I cannot stand. Be tn in a football match or a pvp fight on SquadCraft. If I do lose, I either get straight back up and try again. Or work my butt off to improve. That’s probably how my success has come in football, I strive hard for success.

I understand your frustration and irritation and it's obvious you have strong thoughts and opinions on those you hack and/or have hacked in the past. However, the last time i did induce the use of hacks was when i was 13, unaware of consequences, peer pressured from friends and just a general immature person. However, since that time i am aware of consequences and how irritating and how game ruining hackers are. I cannot undo the past, i have confessed to the earlier use of hacks in my career. I work so hard to try and convince others that i have changed and i am thankful for those who have faith in me. I have changed, it is unfortunate you do not believe this. Also, i think the amount of hacker videos and threads i have made regarding hackers prove that i do not have, or will ever again have, hacks.

He may have dissed people in the past but he knew that was wrong as he was quite immature back then. He has now matured and learnt that dissing people isn't how to deal with things. Also he didn't hack back then people thought he did but he didn't.

None of those people he modded were his friends... He only talked to them as friends after he made his decision to mod them... And none of them abused but if anything a couple didn't punish enough... You were also in denial that you and that girl you dated broke up and would get salty when we told you that she wouldn't have dated someone else if you two were actually "only on a break"
Yes, however i have confessed to my past and am focusing on improving my future. I was salty about her as she was close to me and yeah i guess i was in denial when she was brung up. However the past is the past, she is gone and at the end of the day. Being mod is in the present and future, not the past, and that is what i am focusing on.
Most of the people he modded were his friends... I supported all of them so dont take this the wrong way like I am against his decisions but to be fair they were all friends before they got promoted. They were always on the server together whenever I played or in skype/teamspeak.
You weren't active on the server or teamspeak so you wouldn't know this but they weren't his friends before he modded them. I would know, We talked about all the applications he accepted and he knew almost none of those people except the ones that were mod before like Rev and Danza. All the others weren't familiar with him either until after they had been accepted. (One or two of them just before they were accepted but he was considering them merely from their application even before he knew them personally)
