Hello people, This is Axitis. I noticed a sudden increase in players and hackers on squadcraft so I decided to apply for Mod. Any type of criticism is appreciated except for the ones complaining that I only have like ten messages on the forums. What is your Minecraft name? Axitis Why do you play Minecraft? I have always been interested in programming or creating games. Minecraft has caught my attention from it's early release. When I first heard about the game Minecraft the first thing I thought of was starcraft. I started doing some research on Minecraft and realized that it was nothing like Starcraft at all. I was surprised to know that the game consisted only of blocks. I was intrigued on how a game as simple as this was able to reach over a million players. When I finally was able to get Minecraft it completely overwhelmed me. I realized that Minecraft was not simply just a block game but a creative output for people to express themselves. And that is why I played and continue to play Minecraft. What is your time zone? Pacific Time Zone. What single sub-server do you spend the most time on? Kit-PvP When are you usually online? Around 4-6 PM How many hours a day can you play? How many hours do you actually play? I can play about two or three hours depending on the amount of work I have in real life. I usually play about one to three hours. How long have you been playing SquadCraft? I believe it's been two years. What's your favorite memory on SquadCraft? I believe it was a year or two ago, but there was a shop plugin which let you buy diamond armor. I was in full diamond enchanted with protection one and a sharpness diamond sword in kit vampireknight. For those who don't know, the vampireknight kit was really op back then and combined with the diamond armors I literally took zero damage from any hits. Anyways I was at rust I believe and surge came on. He tried to kill me but couldn't damage me at all. He then enchanted his sword to an insanely high sharpness and killed me in one shot. Then at spawn he enchanted his sword with fire aspect and lit me on fire forever. Then he proceeded to remove the shop plugin. I guess it was funny to me that I was part of the reason the shop plugin got removed. And that was my favorite memory on SquadCraft. Where do you spend your time at SquadCraft? Kit-PvP Why do you want to be a moderator? What is your goal as a SquadCraft moderator? The reason I'm applying for moderator is because I noticed a sudden increase in players in Kit-PvP. An increase in players also mean an increase in hackers also. Last week or two ago I saw Fuzzy ban like four hackers in a row, and I've reported like eight. With the sudden increase in hackers and players one moderator is not enough. The only moderator that I have seen come on regularly on Kit-PvP is FuzzyMelons. Fuzzy is on most of the time but what about the time when he isn't on? One moderator is not enough to watch the server 24/7. (And I realize that there are more moderators but the only one who I see regularly on Kit-PvP is Fuzzy). Sure, I could record and report them, but it takes time to record, upload, report, then to wait for the moderator to reply while you're waiting helplessly watching the hacker ruin many players days. My goal as a SquadCraft moderator is to give players a fun and enjoyable experience on SquadCraft. As a moderator, how will you affect SquadCraft? I believe this is a repetitive question but I will affect SquadCraft in a way that will make sure the players will have an enjoyable experience on SquadCraft. Do you want Mod just to have Mod next to your name? Now this is not what most people will say but I'm going to say it right now. I believe the Mod title is an important part in being a Mod. Let's say for example, the President walked into your classroom at school. What do you do? You stand up of course. Why? To show respect to the position he holds as President of the United States. I believe titles are what determines respect and authority. You wouldn't stand up if the person who walked in was just a janitor, would you? I believe it is the same case here. However it will be pretty cool to be an undercover Mod. I don't think the Mod title is necessary but an important part of being a Mod. What happens if you are not chosen to be a moderator? Nothing at all. I would continue playing SquadCraft as I have been. What kind of skills do you have? I have done an extensive research on hacks (reason is two questions below). I have a deep knowledge and understanding of how hacked clients work and what they look like when they are being used. I can detect some of the not so obvious hacks as well. I am also a very patient and calm person. I don't get mad easily and I like not having conflict, however an exception would be hackers. One of the reason being is how they are so full of themselves and how they have fun in ruining other players gameplay. An example would be okaylmao or losez. He was so salty that I got him banned he started spamming this: https://gyazo.com/e8c3c52104f9a7c54215c1f78671fc45 It's these kind of people that tick me off so much. They know they did something wrong but they turn the other way and blame someone else. Have you ever been banned? If so, why? I have never been banned. Have you ever cheated, used hacks? If so, why? I have used hacks before but on a single player server. When I was building my server I hired someone who told me they could make a custom anti cheat plugin. I had to tell him what I wanted included in the plugin so I downloaded hacks and tested them on a single player world. However, I deleted the files straight afterwards after I obtained the information I needed. How do you treat younger players? Basically, I treat anyone, even younger players, with respect if they show the same amount of respect for me. Do you use TeamSpeak or skype? I have skype. List the things you've done to help the SquadCraft community and the SquadCraft server. I have reported multiple hackers before, and would continue to do so. I also got the shop plugin deleted as said above which improved the game play of many new SquadCraft players. How many applications have you submitted before? When was the last one? This is the first one. Is there anything else you would like to say? No. Do you have any experience as a staff member of any organization? (doesn't have to be Minecraft) I have multiple experience as a staff member. I worked at multiple festivals in my little sisters elementary school as a staff. Also I was a staff at many community service organizations. Iam currently a officer in a club called key club where we organize group community services. For Minecraft, as stated above I had my own server before so I was owner. I was a Mod at a server called Mythical PvP but I had bad connection with the owner so I wasn't able to contact him and I have no idea what happened to the server. Tell us about yourself, about you, your character, personality and values. Hello, I am Axitis. I live in Southern California in a small city near San Diego. I am currently a Junior in High School. I have a 4.51 GPA and I am taking five AP classes this year. I play the alto saxophone in the school band and I am the section leader of the saxophones. I am in varsity swim this year instead of varsity golf which I did for two years. I am also in this great program called Peer Leaders and PLUS which is like an extended version of Peer Leaders. Our job as Peer Leaders is to help the Freshmans make the transition from middle school to high school easier and to help any people who feel lonely throughout the campus. Us Peer Leaders organize the Freshman orientation and we hold freshman visits where we tell them the upcoming events throughout the campus. We also hold lunch bunches where we invite people who want friends to hang out with at lunch where we play board games and watch movies. I am also in ASB, I was in ASB during the last two years of middles school until now. However, I basically just make posters around the school. An interesting fact about me is that I got to skip two years of math so currently I'm taking AP Calculus D. I'm also in a really cool club called Key Club where we do community service with a big group. I also know how to play the guitar and I used to know how to play the piano but I forgot how to play as I paid more attention to playing the saxophone and the guitar. I think that's about it. Thank you for taking your time to read my application. I hope I didn't make too much mistakes on my application. If I did feel free to point it out.
You'll fit the mod position, and im saying this not because im applying for mod too but because we need people to moderate for the future of squadcraft.
-1 cos I'm a rebel, I don't follow your system. @MLGProGamer123 But seriously there had not been an increase in players in kit pvp but I do agree we need new mods I myself don't remember you for my Times when I have come on but I have no doubt you will be better than fuzzy anyway so good luck lmao
fuzzy is a good mod and the most active one right now so i dont know what you're talking about and mlg is a good mod at his times too so.
MLG is an Intersting character and is somebody I would in rl associate with as he really has his wits about him so I don't have any complaints about him Fuzzy however has the worst attitude and he abuses lots. Props to him that he is active but I would take the old mods over him anyday of the week
i know fuzzy doesnt have the nicest attitude but it doesnt matter if he bans alot of hacker right, and when did he abused? can i see the proof?
I know people says fuzzy abuses alot but i never see a post that shows fuzzy abusing his power. And theres literally no mod on the server except fuzzy.
There has been an increase in players. Ever since surge broke kitpvp there has been only like eight or ten people on average but it's been slowly coming back and reaching about twenty players. Please don't make false statements when you have been gone for a bit of a time and don't know all the facts. Thank you.
Last few days average has been 0 When I'm on there are less people mostly. It's only later on that people come on. I see like 4 online mostly
That's because the kitpvp servers are broken. http://squadcraft.net/threads/kitpvp1-kitpvp2-factions-mcmmo-down-again.19978/
Then why are you saying the average has been zero when nobody can connect? Just accept your mistake and move on. I haven't seen more than ten people on since the knock back was broken and now that its fixed I've been seeing twenty or so players on
Even when it's up I see 4 players. That's not an improvement for me. Maybe at your time but mostly for me I don't see more than 5 Anyway mate don't want to get into it Nothing big anyway don't know why you decided to pick up on it
I don't think I was in fact I said i would like you to be mod But sorry if I did mate. Good luck with your mod app
Thank you for apologizing. I might have been a bit overreacting but you were making it sound like I was lying about the increase in players. Good luck on your application, maybe we'll be able to work together someday.
I have mixed thoughts. Firstly, you need to rewrite your answer for what kind of skills you have. All of your answers are irrelevant to the mod position. What's wanted more is for you to address the skills you have related to the moderator position; I.e leadership. Although you won't remember me I do remember you from around 10 months back. I quite liked you attitude in game. You seemed quiet but never broke any rules and kept a positive approach the game, generally keeping yourself to yourself. Although from December to April I don't recall seeing you online. I think attitude wise you are great for the position. Hopefully, when I finally get my laptop fixed, I'll see you sustain the attitude I remember you having. I think you need to understand that being a mod dosent only mean you have to be able to ban hackers, but also fill a lot more expectations. I think your app comes across slightly as so. Hopefully instead of arguing these points, you take them on as bits of constructive criticism to help you in the future. I wish you luck, but for now I'm neutral. Hopefully throughout the campaign I can change my vote to being positive.
@Crixiaro i died when you said campaign Images of Donald trump inspiring us all came to mind and then from there an army of little trumps applying for Mod I'm slightly messed in the head
Thanks for the reply. I'll try to rewrite the skills portion of the app. Also the reason I was gone was due to the broken knock back, I wasn't able to enjoy pvping at SquadCraft anyymore so I decided to leave for a bit until it got fixed. Now that it has, I am back and I have been on ever since. Also, my attitude has changed a bit, but not in a bad way. I am trying to be more talkative and social to players and be a bit more vocal about things going on at Squad. And I understand the role of being a Mod even if it wasn't clearly stated in my application. I always appreciate a good criticism and thank you for taking time out of your day for making a constructive reply. Also, does the skills portion mean in game or in real life? I was a bit confused about that.
No problem. I'm happy to see you took the criticism well. Changing your attitude to being more vocal is even better. I'll move my vote to +1. Good job and best of luck in your endeavours. Btw, to see who voted no click on the number of votes.
@riank1 I sincerely hope the reason you voted no wasn't because of that argument we had. Please leave feedback if you can.
I dunno what happened I voted yes for yours and for mine but my votes Both got switched Changed password and switched votes back. Maybe I'm mad but better safe than sorry
Argued with him erroneously because I misinterpreted something but I admitted fault. The misanthrope part is true but I'll interact with who I choose
Sorry, I missed the second paragraph in your reply. I took some time to look at accepted mod apps to help you out with this answer. Frankly, I dislike the answer I used in my mod app to this question as it only includes a few relevant skills. I included both skills in game, I.e knowing /spectate, as well as skills on real life, i.e persuasiveness. In other mod apps I would say the majority include a balanced answer, although some do have irrelevant answers. But none of the mod apps had only irrelevant answers. If I was you I would, A. Keep all the points relevant to being mod and B. Have a mixed answer. The answer you now have isn't bad at all.
What you need to understand is applications left open are people who are to be considered for mod. When surge needs a mod this is the list of people he will come to and read the apps and see who he thinks will do best. This could be tomorrow or Christmas or any time
Maybe but we don't know what he is doing behind the scenes But there is no doubt new mods are needed whoever they are since I've legit only every seen fuzzy on.
