Hello fellow Skyblockers, and to the wider squadcraft community. It brings me great pleasure to make this announcement. Now, last night I was able to get in contact with Surge outside of the forums, and we were able to go through the list of things to fix on Skyblock. As a result of this discussion, a few changes have been made on Skyblock. The other month, the animal despawning glitch was fixed at long last, as well as the addition of the older auction plugin which some players preferred in order to replace the one which had been randomly removed. The main fixes that have been introduced so far to Skyblock as a result of my discussion with Surge comes in the form of Surge lifting the limits on both the 15 villager breeding/spawning limit, as well as the 100 hopper limit. These are pretty big additions which we have been working hard to get resolved for some time now. As of writing this post, these changes have had some brief testing carried out and all are confirmed to be working as they should. Not only do all the changes mentioned mean that we can continue to make our farms more efficient and more productive, but we can finally breed animals on our islands without concerns of them disappearing. Currently there are only a few items left on the Skyblock todo list: Add all items in bulksell - expanding the bulksell plugin to make it easier for us to be able to sell more varied items. Add new /is setting command to allow/prevent other players from picking up entities that have been dropped on the ground - Surge has contacted the author of the Skyblock plugin used in order to explore this option. Other items on the list include compensating players for damage caused by the animal despawning glitch, ensuring that players who have been affected by the glitch are able to have the damage repaired so that they can continue working on their island from where they left off, without having to backtrack on their work. The only other plugin which has notably disappeared is the pets plugin, however this isn't as important as some of the recent fixes/ other requests left to complete in my opinion. I am not a member of staff myself, nor do I have any intentions of attempting to join the ranks of the staff, therefore if anyone has any requests for changes or wants to report an issue, I would encourage them to do so using the traditional means, via forums or contacting a member of staff. I will only be contacting Surge about any changes to be introduced if I feel that they should be changed, I will not act as a bridge between the players and Surge. Thank you to everyone who has contributed and assisted in getting things improved on Skyblock and for anyone who will continue to help get things improved on the Skyblock server. You have my gratitude. To any haters/pessimists/discouragers who attempted to stop me from getting Skyblock fixed... I TOLD YOU SO! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You have my permission to apologise when you want. To any regular Skyblock players who wanted this stuff changed on the server but didn't bother doing anything, you can thank me later. I shall continue to contact Surge about getting the rest of the requests fixed (with the exception of the pets plugin because I'm not that fussed about it, someone else can do that if they want, good luck) and any other things that I feel Surge needs to be aware of. Hopefully once word gets out about the current progress then more players, both regulars and new, will return to Skyblock so that we may thrive once more. I shall most likely alternate between Skyblock and alternative games which I have recently purchased, however I look forward to being able to play and continue making progress on my island and all the projects I had planned. - Final Note: Should anyone decide to post here in order to criticise me, my thread, my work etc, then they should expect to either, but not limited to: Be ignored by me due to lack of interest, receive this disclaimer as response, or get ultimately flawed. And? I don't need other people to help me build. Still gonna be fixed. And yet there were about 8/9 people in total who came on yesterday... Told ya it didn't have a choice about getting fixed.
yo DAMN 8-9 people. My mind be blown. I just don't understand why you're fixing something that only 3-10 people will enjoy. But hey that's just my opinion.
Idc how many people are gonna play on the server as a result of the work I've put into getting Skyblock sorted. I can finally continue with my projects on my island and that's what matters to me. Skyblock could just consist of a few people that I'm friends with or get on with and I'd be happy with that. Plus, I now get the satisfaction that something I've worked hard to get fixed is making progress, as well as the reaction and joy that my work brings to other skyblock players, like so:
Thanks. Yeah, I know. However people still seem to play on it for some reason, well I know that I still play because I can continue working hard on my Skyblock island which I'm proud of. At least the improvements are giving us Skyblock players a reason to keep playing on the server. Who knows, maybe if more people were a little bit more optimistic and persevered more to get things improved, like I have, then it would give Surge a reason to keep working on sorting stuff out on the server and more people would have a reason to keep playing. I know some things are highly unlikely to change like acc or whatever the kitpvp thing is called, but perhaps if more people worked to get things changed, then we might see some improvement.
