Thoughts on point reset?

The title says it all!

I personally like it as it gives new players a chance to get on the leader boards

Also, I have seen people say that they're going to quit because of it.
We were going to have a point reset sooner or later. Also, you should be playing SkyWars for the fun of it and not for the points.

 

I really like this, because now more players have chance to get on leaderboeards. =)
Personally, I dont really cheer how much I have points...

I disagree.

You can't dictate why someone plays a game. Whether it's for the achievements, or for the fun. The achievements may be what defines the fun.

 

I don't really care,yes it makes me mad,but new players will not be on the leader boards, because of bedrocks and emeralds,they will use their kits and fill up the leader board,I think it was a bad idea personally for that reason.

 

I dont care that they reset im. glad :3 i wont be trying to get back on the leaders anyways

 

I think more people will quit if the points reset + I took 1 and half year to get to 35k. I have to much memory

Yeah, that's another reason I'm leaving because I only get about 3-5k points a month and the resets are monthly so its pointless. And i am NOT mad about the reset, its just monthly is lame

Points reset... my nice 42 k score is GONE! I hate the person who came with this idea!You think now pay2wins wont be on the leaderboard? They can make score faster than non-donors.Some people made their score in time, not in a week of no-lifing and using kits.

If you're not playing it for the score then what's the point? The goal is to get points, so why would it be fun without a point?

I am really, really happy this happened, there's just a problem with it...the amount of spawnkilling is insane. Every game I've been in so far there's some donor firing arrows at people right when it starts. Everyone's over-competing for the leaderboards and even arguing about it xD

 

Bring back the 1 minute bow rule, to include enderpearling to others too!

 

We just increased the spawn killing rate! Have fun.

Alot of you don't know this but around July I permbanned Skythe for asking constantly for mod from Yonda. He asked everytime he saw Yonda and even after Yonda muted him for 1234 minutes (Get it lol). I unbanned him with the deal that he'll never ask for mod again. He never asked for mod again and here he is lol.

He probably would of bought an unban token anyways

 

i only have 1494 points so it doesn't bother me.

 

I don't really care as much, although I wished I made it to 10k before reset >.<
By the way, for all you people who wanna know, Trab raged quit xD

The sheer fact that people would quit SquadCraft over a point reset is unbelievably petty. That basically suggests you have no desire to actually play SkyWars, you'd rather just gain points. So by that rational, if Squad made a new minigame which entailed being awarded points for standing in a lobby, you'd be just as happy as you would playing the rounds of SkyWars, correct? It's just points. I've said this 100 times already, but let me reiterate once more: I've been here since the very first minute SkyWars was publicly released. My points have been reset countless times. Do I care? Heck no. I play SkyWars because it is fun, not because I aim to gain points. Sure, the leaderboard adds a nice element of competition to it all, but at the end of the day, you're all still playing the EXACT same game as before. There is no logical reason for people to get salty about losing a little green number. What's worse, those 'points' were originally intended as currency to buy things in the shop, hence the dollar sign next to the figure. But hey, it's just my 2 cents.

 

I don't find playing as fun as I used to. I quit because the only reason I was staying is because I had a bunch of points. Some people play the game because they enjoy the gameplay, but I found getting points as another reason to play. Competing with people like Yum and Hugh was the time when Skywars was fun to me. But then Hugh quit, and all of the donors began to get worse and worse. Now that I have no points, the only way I can get them is by no-lifing all day long whilst trying to compete with a bunch of donors who abuse their kits to make the game less and less fun. The resets before this meant that you could enjoy playing some skywars with your friends, maybe adding in a little friendly competition, but this time is different because the emeralds+ will just completely abuse their kits - as they have done for the last 3 months - and will easily be at the top of the leaderboards. The real issue here is how donors abuse their kits, and the only power I had over them myself - with the limited amount of play time I get due to college and a waning interest- was that I had more points than most of them. Now that is gone they can be even worse than before.
So TL;DR points reset isn't going to add competition, everyone will probably leave the server now their hard-earned points have gone and donors are just going to get worse. Peoples only hopes for the last few months were that a points reset would add flare to a dying community, but the last day and the next weeks will prove that the community is filled with a bunch of immature and imbecilic children removing any fun the game once had by most likely stealing from their parents bank accounts.

The've been on SquadCraft longer. I've only been about 2-3 months is when I started playing.

 

Erm.... When I started playing, I got 6k in 7 days.... C'mon 6k is not much at all in 2-3 months...…… And it doesnt help you if you complain about this, what fo you think we will do? You are not getting your points back so >.<

I reached a grand total of 46,000 points. I'm happy it reset, glad that now new players can get to the top, but it hurts a bit to see your points go :'(

Also pls make this a monthly thing.

While I feel that the points should not have been reset, this gives people a chance that are maybe better than everyone in the leaderboards, but have not played for very long, to shine. This is a new day in SkyWars an we'll be able to see what shines beneath the hidden surface of the old leaderboards

I also like this because its fun to competite with people on leaderboards if they have 10 points more than you xD

I tryharded up until 500, then stopped, I'm at 1.7k now :/

I never played for points or the fun of it. Just to talk to friends. I doubt the amount of times I went into a game is higher than 25.
Anyhow, I think its good that the points reset, despite everyone grumbling about it. This will give newer players more reason to play, without the prospect of having to get to over 20K points looming over them to even get close to the leaderboards.
