Skarmick's Moderator Application: In Game Name: Skarmick Real Name: Joshua T. Morehouse Age: 15. As some of you may recall from my last application, I said I was 14. Reason being is because my date of birth is on October 17th. So, I turned 15 in that time period. Please ignore my age on the forums. Respectfulness [Scale 1-10]: To be honest, I think I am around an 8. I have matured since I have turned 15, and feel as if i am able to tolerate people who are annoying with out cussing them out, Like I normally do. Here are a few reasons I feel I am respect full enough to have the job. -I will listen to others. -I will not cuss because I feel as if there is no need to anymore. It seems very childish and something you do when you cannot think of a comeback. -I will stay as active as possible on the forums page, helping out others, and guiding other in the right direction. --I will be as nice as I can and stay on my best behavior while moderating. Obedience [Scale 1-10]: Again, to be honest This would be a 9. My whole life growing up, I have been told to listen to my teachers, parents, etc. If I were to become moderator I would treat it as if it were the same scenario. Such as doing anything Yonda asked me too. Plus, looking up to older mods who know the job better than me. I have always liked to be very engaged in what I do, and try my hardest to listen to other, but the reason I give myself an 8 is because sometimes I will space out and not listen. I am trying my hardest to work on that, and I hope you can understand. Experience: Ah yes, my experience. I am a very experienced Helper, Moderator, Co-Owner, Admin, and Owner. I know almost every command attached to bukkit etc. I would be glad to learn more commands if there are any. (ex. from a custom plugin or something) Here are a list of the servers I have been mod on [Yonda I apologize if you do not like some of the servers/owners] -MCWarside (Helper, A while back) -HexicPrison (Moderator, Demoted for Inactivity) -RezzCraft (Co-Owner, Demoted because server shutdown) -FussyCraft (Admin, Demoted Because server was greifed) -BatCraft (Owner, my current server. Just use it mostly to PvP friends etc. Hopefully will become a server soon) Reasons I should Be Moderator: Okay, so to start off, I have always been good with spelling and I love to write. It's one of my favorite things to do, because I get to express my feeling... on paper! As I said earlier in my application, I can know almost every Bukkit command. (Ex. /jail /mute/kick etc.) I have always loved to help people, which is one of the main reasons my future job plans out to be a Police Officer. I love getting a simple 'thank you' from players after I help them. Or just the feeling that I helped makes me feel just as good. Now, Yonda, I realize that we have not had very good experiences, and I would understand that you would not want me to a moderator, but I would just like to apologize for everything I have done. Such as constantly annoying you, spamming you etc. Now, yes I know the damage is already done. But this is my only time I can apologize. So again, I am sorry. Another reason is that I think that working in teams is an awesome team. One thing I really like about Squadcraft, is the staff team. They are always working together, and always helping each other out. I would love to become apart of that, and be able to take advice from others. Which leads me into my other topic, listening to others. As I mentioned before, I like to take advice from other people, which can lead to better things and slowly building up skills to become a better mod. I am always open to taking advice, even from players. Everytime I discipline someone for breaking the rules, I will get valid proof of it, then post it on the forums, just incase the player filed an abuse report, I would have proof to show that I would not abuse. Which leads me to my last topic, Abuse. A feel as if abuse is a sin... A terrible thing that no server/player should have to go through. So, I would never abuse and I always discipline a player for a valid reason. [Extra] Commands I Know: - /jail - Jails a player, block them from using in-game commands. Only necessary if player is breaking the rules after a warning/mute/kick. - /mute - Silence a player for a certain amount of time, give them no permission to talk. - /god - Go into /god to go to pvp and watch a fight, to make sure nobody is hacking. - /kick - Used to kick players for a brief amount of time. Use after player breaks rules for a second time after a warning. Yes, I know there are more commands, but those are the only ones I know what squadcraft mods have. If there are anymore, I will add them in. Anything Else You Would Like To Add: Yes, some other things I feel are necessary to add would be that I live in two different homes, due to the fact that my parents are divorced. I am currently going to court to get full time custody with my mom. This should not effect my activeness in being a mod. I would also like to address the issue of amounts of spammers/advertise there have been on factions. Since I would spend most my time on the server, I would be able to mute the players whenever they happen to come on and decide to advertise. Again, I will do my best to deal with everyone breaking the rules, and try my best to enforce the rules as much as possible. Important: I have been noticing some people commenting on my use of foul language, I apologize for that and I promise it will stop, I've grown up my whole life using that language {Due to where I grew up at} so it's basacally been what I say and overuse all the time, I apologize for that. Sorry man but I gotta say this. Ignore it if u feel differently. Your account "BigTea", was ur old account right? On that account j were really mean and all that stuff. Spamming sometimes and just gtng angry randomly at people. Every since u got skarmick, uve changed. I hope that u were just being nice because u have changed. It may be that u r just being nice because u want moderator. Hopefully not. Gl bro!
I definatley feel the same way. See, in the thread i explain how I have matured and will try my hardest not to do that. Anyways, thanks for the feedback!
Good app, one thing though & it's that you need to improve on your overall respectfulness on other players meaning your attitude xD.
