There are moments on servers such as Factions or SkyWars where the chat is being flooded and although there are moderators on, it can be hard to spot their messages. As of now, staff members have the default text color which can be hard to spot by players in the gigantic pool of text. Although Moderators have the colored prefix, a player could still miss out on what the moderator is trying to say. Allowing Staff members in general to have this colored text will allow all players to easily see if they are breaking the rules, or just doing something wrong. This could turn out to be something very good for the server, it could even result in a "cleaner" server or public chat.
Well they do have pink prefixes to stand out. If you miss pink over white then you'd be color blind or just oblivious.
thanks, but please call me Estebomb or Esteban, lol I'm trying to drop the whole "Marucha" name but that is hard with the non-changeable forum names @Thesparrow11
this is a smart idea i think there is a command where staff can do /color chat darkblue or something like that it makes their permanent color chat nah it should be bright colors like light blue and pink
Unless you're impatient or in a rush (not directing this to anyone) and is scanning the chat for something specific, then changing the color of the chat is irrelevant and will only increase the amount of colors flooded everyday. All people need to do is take a few seconds to scroll up if they missed anything they were expecting. Most of the time, players msg mods for assistance. So in this case, maybe msg's could be highlighted or bolded. Yes! I miss the times when they were purple. If I'm not mistaken, all the mod prefixes are the same on all the servers. If, for example, you chose aqua and light purple (there actually isn't a pink), then the chat would be flooded with bright colors looking awfully similar to white and maybe a bit blinding. On Kitpvp, the crafter rank is already aqua so it makes it even more confusing when mods have only their light purple colored prefix to distinguish themselves. The current ones are fine, but I suggest sticking with dark purple, it was perfect the way it was.
The point here isn't for more privileges for moderators, it's so players can see when and if they are being spoken to on the server by staff. Let's be honest here, when there are auctions going, people constantly bidding, players constantly speaking in chat, factions being created and name changed, etc This all creates a chat that goes by so fast that you won't even notice if a staff member is on
