dvwinn6 SkyWars Application (Mods please read first paragraph)

To the mods: I know I submitted this application yesterday, and it was denied. This was because SkyWars was not accepting mods at the time, and that meant that my application was automatically denied, and the normal wait period is 2-3 months. However, I feel this is unfair, as my application wasn't denied for quality or real reason, just because of a rule that doesn't even exist anymore. What I'm saying isw I feel I should bypass the 2-3 month waiting period since the rule of no applications was changed.

I normally give respect to people who give respect to me (For example, I wont pay much attention to someone who screams "HACKER!!!" into global chat, however, I will be friendly whenever someone says "Good fight", or something else that shows respect towards me). All in all I'd give myself around a 6

• Obedience on a scale of 1-10:

I try to stick to the rules, and help others stuck to the rules. Sadly I can find myself breaking them on occasion, but usually it's a spur of the moment/frustration.
If on the topic of being told what to do as duties of a moderator, I can easily follow instructions given to me.

• Experience:

I own a small KitPvP server with ~10-20 regular players per day, all scripted and created by myself. I have hosted Ultra Hardcore matches onhttp://www.reddit.com/r/ultrahardcore, handling up to 40 players at once. I have also moderated multiple Survival and Creative servers on my time (I have been playing Minecraft in general since December 2009)

• Any past offences:

On Squadcraft alone: I was kicked for breaking the bow rule in a game, and that's pretty much it.
On other servers: The last time I really remember being banned from servers for being dumb/breaking rules was ~3-4 years ago, when I was young and stupid

• Reasons you should be moderator:

I have experience with working with people. I play SkyWars for ~1-4 hours per day. I have a lot of experience of working with people in the past. I have read over the rules and know what to do, and what not to do. I know how to deal with people who are acting up/breaking rules. I spend so much time on the server, and have shown my appreciation by donating $20 towards it, as I feel this is the best configured and handled SkyWars server there is out there, even with some of the flaws.

In all honesty, I feel sometimes there is a lack of moderation. A lot of the time I see mods doing their job, which I think is great, however, there are flaws. There is always stuff that goes unnoticed, or ignored, and I feel I would like to contribute.

I also want to contribute towards the server without actual moderation. For example, advertising, promotion, gaining players. I have dealt with this type of stuff on servers before, and think it would benefit this server highly.

To Jonny (And other mods):
I'm a naturally caring person. Ever since I was young I have wanted to help people, steer people in the right direction, prevent people from making the wrong choices, and keeping those wrong choices away from other people. It has always been something I've done, and I will always do it. And yes, it has gotten me in trouble before (For example, crybaby admins that can't take advice), but I feel it could benefit me when moderating people, because something that people forget often, there are living breathing people behind those usernames, so you should treat them with respect and help them.

If you read what I said, I meant I felt it was unfair I was denied for a rule that no longer exists, and I'd have to wait for 2-3 months.

In that case can I reapply? I made my app like 2 weeks ago and it got denied but since last week you're accepting?

Umm..gosh...I did mod app few weeks ao, and now I rly feel bad because two weeks after we applied, almost every server just suddenly is accepting, and now we need to wait about 6 weeks, and then probs any server is NOT accepting... What do you think @crazyepicmonster ? I think that crazy thinks that this is little bit unfair so we could get chance to reapply again At least I, would make 100 times better app, so it eould get accepted. Could you Yum think about this? If not, ok. I can deal with that, its not problem, im just asking that could we?

 

I agree, but rules are rules. If we follow them we have a higher chance of getting accepted

Most applications were denied due to lack of detail. The fact that skyward wasn't accepting was just another thing we mentioned.
