Recently, I have noticed that the Mods on forums haven't really been getting to many hack/spam reports like that, now I know that they won't post saying "It's been dealt with" right away because the person could be offline, but at least could you Mods reply saying "I'll deal with this" or something like that to notify the whole thread that it is being dealt with, and of course lock the thread right after that. Now if this isn't the case and the Mods have been getting a bit lazy then I ask why and I'd be surprised :/ This topic could refer to any subject It's just that I've noticed the hack/spam all those rule breaking topics have been ignored in a way. @EA_Sharks @xSkaro @Oman0202 @iiDragonZz @Emuturd @XenonZombie @PukingRainbowz sorry if I forgot some Mods, I don't know creeperbots forums name.
If the player is not online, they can't be punished. If I lock the thread saying I will punish them, I will most likely forget.
I know they can't be punished if they're offline.. "now I know that they won't post saying "It's been dealt with" right away because the person could be offline", How will you forget? :/
Recently we have been replying to rule breaker reports. But there's not use in locking a thread if the player isn't fully dealt with. The term 'lazy' doesn't apply here. Once they have been dealt with, we will notify you. Don't think we're purposely ignoring them.
Now I know about this, thank you, what about the other clueless people waiting for someone to reply to their thread and let's say they get angry, should I make a thread saying that this is how the Mods will deal with their threads? And don't think I'm calling Mods lazy I was asking a question, just to clear things up on that thought.
I have a life you know? I don't live to play Minecraft. I won't remember their username by the time I actually see them in-game. I might remember I needed to mute someone but then I have to go searching for the thread and if it's locked it will sink to the bottom w/o replies. There is no way in hell I am going to remember some obscure combination of letters, what server they were on and what rule they were breaking. Locking a thread before it's dealt with is just a bad idea unless the player is very well known. For example, if I say I will jail drewcap2 for hacking when I see him, I won't forget that. However if I say I will mute xXXcheesenUtesXXx for spamming when I see him, chances are I will forget.
"Then I ask why" :l Replying to what Emma just said. Okay well like I was just about to say, but I read this, you can just say that you will deal with it and not lock it just to notify users. Now if Mods don't want to do this, I can make a forum on how you guys reply to these threads to tell other users that this is how you guys will do it.
It's not necessary to make a separate thread on how we need to reply to reports. Once it's resolved, you'll know.
Alright well this was just me asking about all this, I was confused if you Mods haven't been 'caring'. Understood, I don't think we need anymore replies, lock please?
Catching hackers/spammers etc.. Can be very difficult. You never know how long they can be offline, than again The Moderator Team is not something that is 24/7, we are normal humans as well. We try our best to detect and eliminate.
