What needs to change in SkyWars!

SkyWars is dead and it is due to some of the changes you have made to the server. I have came up with some ideas to help make it better along with others!

Firstly,

MAKE IT 1.8 and 1.7 COMPATIBLE!
This can make so much difference as some people mainly play 1.7 because you can block hit and to be honest it isn't as laggy as 1.8. On the other hand people play 1.8 because most of the other servers on SquadCraft are 1.8 and they might want to go onto another server. Plus if KitPvP can be compatible to 1.7 and 1.8 why can't SkyWars? It won't make such a difference to the game.. will it?

WATER AND LAVA BACK!
This is the main one that needs adding back! You can be bridging over to another island without any water and just die due to snowballing off. But if it was added back people would enjoy playing because they don't instantly die while trying to bridge over to the other islands! Lava needs adding back because it is a different strategy of pvp.. people use this as a secondary to set them on fire and in some cases burn them to death. However much it may cause lag it has been in SW for a while so I see no reason to get rid of it.

POINT RESET!
This is the other one that needs to happen. With there being all these players being brought back we need some actual competition and something to hype us up with on the server. Without this it's pointless playing as the #1 person is on 51k meaning it's worthless spending our time playing with to competition of sort.

OLD MAPS BACK!
The new maps that you have contain some awful design flaws for example

• chests spawn with blocks on top of them making it hard to get your loot.
• Islands are too far away from each other and plus you don't get that many blocks in the chests.

The old maps on the other hand there were no flaws at all. They were perfect, a decent length away from each other, no blocks on top of chests and everyone loved them! If it is possible to bring the old maps back and rid of the new ones it'd make people want to play even more. (not saying the new maps are bad it's just they have designs flaws unlike old ones!)

OLD MODS BACK!
We need some old school mods back due to the fact they knew everything they needed to know about SkyWars and they knew all the community basically.

ENDERPEARL DELAY!
This needs to be added due to the fact all Bedrocks abuse this kit and it ruins all the games that people play! There needs to be at least a 10-15 second delay on throwing an enderpearl!

RANKS BACKS!
After everyone left ranks disappeared and now the players that have came back don't happen to have them! They need to be added back to the players now they have came back.


If anyone has any other suggestions for SkyWars I recommend commenting them here and I can add them onto the list above!

I don't think the old mods would want to come back, but tcw and a few others might. Fully agree with every thing else ESPECIALLY 1.7 as block hitting is good for straight lining

A replay would make hackers and boosters ruin matches also people shouldn't be plaaying for points.
Points as a currency is broken anywyay, buy bedrock, insta points
maybe make ranks like csgo ranks instead?

There isn't any hackers and boosters... But if there were i am fairly certain we could report them and get them banned. Plus points brings competition, other than that you have nothing :L

 

Add more voting rewards aswell

 

what I mean is I'd rather not have everyone pay2winning etc for points plus if the person with top is 51k, a reset doesn't mean much, he could get right back up to 51k

 

Maybe have separate leaderboards for different donator ranks, as well as a global one. This will reduce pay 2 wins as you can compare yourself to other players with the same benefits as you.

 

But no one plays SW... that's my point. The 51k player is hardly on meaning it doesn't make a difference? Most players do use kits correct but some people don't so it's a bit half and half of players using kits and some not.

 

Add especially those two. Please.

There should also be a smaller build height limit. Hate spending the rest of the game attempting to kill someone camping in the sky.

 

Add the old spawn back like I mean that spawn was so great and frikin nostalgic ,_;

Yassss, that would be great. It's just like the rule on badlion where when you do a builduhc round, there will be a sky limit.

 

Skybasing is a tactic that some people use. But i suppose a smaller build height limit wouldn't hurt!

Add more opposition goodies to chests punch bows, thorns armor (with unb3), knock back 100 hoe (3 durability), and ender pearls

 

I like the idea of some rare stuff for chests but I think the knockback 100 hoe is tad over the top. We have the kb 2 axe so that's gucci. But a rare enderpearl in chest wouldn't be half bad same as punch bow and arrows

Yesssss dude! I really miss the old SW so much. It's dumb how they took out water and lava, like what the hell. I do really miss the old maps too, the new ones are pretty shitty. I don't know if many of the old mods would come back but its worth a try, some might. Anyways I really hope this happens, good idea dude!

Yes, some I have different opinions on but just about all of them I'm all for being added/re-added.

 

I think these upgrades certainly need to be added because whenever I look to see how many people are on sw there is about 10 maximum and I think people would come back if they are added. I would be more than happy to be mod again but its not up to me

Clearly you haven't played Skywars in a while.
I'll try to explain the glitch in detail:

If you place water, it will place. If you then place a block (i.e. stone, wood) it will place, but then immediately return to your inventory. If you place it again, it will stay. Say you are building to mid, you place water then crouch over the end of your path and place a block, the block will place, moving you forward, then disappear and you will fall off the map.

The mods can be trusted you say? If they can be trusted why did they leave Surge? Start a server behind his back? Advertise all of Squad? They need to earn their trustworthy status because by following Yonda, they threw it out the window. Surge won't trust you right away, you need to work your way back. For example, if you quit your job at McDonalds because Wendy's pays more then Wendy's closes, McDonalds isn't automatically going to give you your job back, they hired new staff and no longer trust you, knowing you could quit again at any moment.

 

I only had that water glitch whilst playing 1.8.

 

I believe it occurs if SW is 1.7, while using 1.8

 

Yeah but all people needed to do was use 1.7.

 

But prison is 1.8 so if someone wants to play prison after SW, they have to reload their client.

 

SW was dead before prison came out.

 

Prison came out a while ago, SW had at least 30 people on.

 

Just saying 1.7 doesn't have the water glitch so I see no issue..

 

I know it came out a while ago but I'm saying before prison came out people could have just used 1.7.

 

Oh well I have to if playing UHC! I'm in a 1.7 UHC and then go back to a 1.8 SMP :/
