I'm so happy right now because I've come up with a sweet gaming rig. I don't know what to call it so I just called it a gaming rig... If anyone has a shit desktop and doesn't want to pay a shit tone of money to be able to game on high graphics with it, i have a solution. So, I found this GPU which is the GT 730 4GB http://www.scan.co.uk/products/4gb-msi-gt-730-40nm-1000mhz-gddr3-gpu-750mhz-96-cores-vga-dvi-hdmi As you can see, it's not the best of GPU's it's DDR3, and the clock speeds aren't as good as some. But some of us are on budgets, so this is perfect. I'm not sure if you can use SLI for this, but i think you can. If so you can get two of these for 120 quid altogether. Then you have 8gigs of vram. You'll need a decent psu, so I'd go with a 350 W one to a 600W one because if you're using two, you're gonna need more power. Unless you have a good cpu, don't expect to have amazing performance because a cpu does a lot of the work. for instance minecraft loves a good cpu. 8 gigs is probs overkill, but I'm someone that likes the best supplies. This isn't a whole build. This is an upgrade, but if anyone wants to actually build this with other components I can help. I've probably said a lot of shit that makes no sense, and gotten some of my facts wrong but, hey we all make mistakes. If you want a performance that's a tiny bit better you can go with the 740's. There's more quada cores i think. It won't make much of a difference. So altogether this is a 180 - 200 quid rig, depending on what components you use. You can go with the 1 or 2 gig DDR5 vram version, but I want a shit tone of vram for if I ever get dual monitors. if i've made any mistakes correct me if im wrong. So here's what you'll be buying http://www.scan.co.uk/products/4gb-msi-gt-730-40nm-1000mhz-gddr3-gpu-750mhz-96-cores-vga-dvi-hdmi x2 or x1 http://www.amazon.co.uk/EVGA-500B-B...=UTF8&qid=1441543094&sr=8-2&keywords=500w+psu x1 getting a better psu would be good if you want to upgrade later on. Someone with a shitty cpu wouldn't get a performance as good as someone with a 5th gen i7. I have a 4th gen i5 so I should be fine. If anyone was wondering, I'm 11
Tf2, amnesia, minecraft, terraria, a lot of other games, portal 1 and 2... Yah, I'm more of a console player. I usually only play minecraft and tf2 on my computer anyways Cx I play better on a laptop anyways
Same. I can play GameCube and Wii games on my laptop (demanding games btw) at full 60fps using an emulator called Dolphin. By default GC and Wii games run at 480p at 60fps and in some places 50fps. With Dolphin, I can run most games at 1080p at 60fps. I even get to use more features such as anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering to make the textures look richer. If your machine is 4k and your graphics can handle it, it lets you play games at 4k and sometimes even 5k. Specs: Intel i7-4210HQ (I think) @2.6GHz Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M 3GB vRAM 8GB DDR3 RAM
A Wii/GC emulator called Dolphin. The game files which are in form is .ISOs, can usually be found on sites dedicated to hosting those files. http://www.romulation.net You have to register for this site but once you do you get access to all the games. GameCube and Wii games take the longest to download because the size of the games are usually around 1-4GB.
You can get external graphics cards also if you have a laptop. What central processing unit do you have?
I mean the processor, every computer has one. If you are ever looking into gaming then I suggest if you dont want do buy a completely new computer u get this http://www.amazon.co.uk/SODIAL-Expr...175998&sr=8-5&keywords=external+graphics+card and whatever graphics card you'd like. it allows you to add a gpu to ur laptop so you can do intense gaming
So buying a Mac laptop isn't good Some people get like 40 fps on a Mac and some people get 200 So idk
Depends on the specs, really. You can't just turn up at a shop and a buy a computer. If you really want the bang for your buck you have to do your research. Macs aren't known for gaming. Even the 5k ones. The apple OS actually lowers the fps. So if you download windows onto a mac you will get a better framerate. You'll be fine with minecraft. *fun fact* you get more frames on fullscreen You can get a gaming pc for half the price of a mac in some cases.
Well, nothing really. You can install optifine and overclock your CPU but thats it really. An hp laptop wouldn't over clock well without breaking so you can't do much to increase your fps anyways. 100 fps is more than enough tbh. Also, in full screen if you change the resolution you get more frames.
Texture pack don't really affect fps, It's more of details like lighting and some types of textures that cause lag. Overclocking is bad for multiple reasons even on a computer that can withstand it. It creates more heat, Requires more energy, restrict allocation of RAM, and physically damage your PC's internals. I'd recommend just throwing in more money and getting a 3.6+ ghz cpu instead of overclocking one.
