how do I prove to my sister that there's no need to be a feminist in this day and age?

I'm disappointed because she's genuinely intelligent as fuck but the shitty tumblr posts have gotten to her. She keeps quoting the definition of feminism and tells me if I believe in women's rights that makes me a feminist. Why does it have to be women's rights in particular, both genders have to face inequalities to some extent ._.

I told her there are only 2 genders and she said "Louis are you some sort of homophobe??" lmao

Wow. I'm just saying, meaning no offense to your sister, and that no matter how intelligent she may be, she's fucking retarded for being a feminist (atleast that part of her). How old is she? Usually what I would do is convince her some more. If that doesn't work, is strongly suggest therapy. Feminism is like a disease, and it's spreading. Now I know I'm not really an expert, and I have had problems before, but it's ridiculous how women (feminists mostly) think feminism as equality. Im strongly into this topic because now, (this mostly happens at my school), some girls would do the stupidest shit, and guess what, they support feminism. Now I'm not some salty toddler, I'm just trying to tell you the truth @Twerkae , if therapy or knocking some sense into her doesn't work, don't bother with it. Deal with it. Now excuse me while I kill myself for even talking about feminism. Also tell her to gtfo tumblr that site is gay af.

Just show her a documentary about women's oppression in the Middle East and how several religious books (bible and quran) support for women's oppression.

I'm just as tired as you

Did so much homework over spring break. Haven't touched me guitar in three days. Am practically going through withdrawal.

I don't mind people that support women's rights, but don't even bother typing more than "I support women's rights". Cause I really don't care.

What? The quran is actually the first religious book against women oppression. Whenever the quran mentions humanity or a universal instruction it mentions both men and women.

Yea all those women in robes and getting stoned. Obviously it supports women.

The robes are to grant them dignity. And stoned? Stoned for what?

Dignity? Are you stupid? There's nothing dignifying about women getting severely punished for not wearing them. Stoning is a common punishment for several things considered offenses in said areas.

You do realize Saudi Arabia is taking islam to the extreme right?

Sure, but such things are still mentioned in the religious books. The bible and the quran both mention it.

Do you have any actual pieces of evidence that indicate stoning women for not wearing hijab?

Don't try to brush it off as a technicality.

There's a reason you don't see an open with open skin in the Middle East. That's that.

I did mention Saudi Arabia takes the Islamic rules to the extreme right? It is not actually in the Islamic rules to kill women for not wearing a Hijab.
