Moderator Application -MCSmelter

Timezone: UTC+0 [GMT]. If my app may be less considered due to my timezone I want to reassure you that I do not see a moderator active about half of the time I am playing on the server, and I usually go to bed around the prime time for Americans to be playing [between 1:00AM-5:00AM].

Respectfulness on a scale of 1-10: 9/10 I have been known to become slightly angry on some occasions, especially when somebody is doing something I personally perceive as wrong. However, I quickly realise that the only way to resolve a problem is to calmly adjust to your opponent's (for lack of a more suitable word) nature, such as their ignorance and arrogance levels, and then make sure a clear and meaningful message is conveyed to them. Of course, if I was wrong in my actions or notions, then I will promptly apologise, fix any problems that were caused and strive to gain a better understanding of what I was ignorant to. peace and love

Obedience on a scale of 1-10: 9/10 Again, I am not the 'perfect' Homo sapien sapien, nobody on the planet is. At some points in my life, I have been told to do something, and I have ill-performed. However, I would say that this has given me a better understanding of how society and a Minecraft server-as a good example-works (That rebelling is not what one should do in any normal circumstance, as it never ends well, and that even if a task seems laborious, and one is feeling lethargic, it is essential to undertake this duty and complete it to the best of their ability). Therefore, if another moderator or even Yonda or Surge asks me to do anything, my only questions will be constructive, and they should expect it do be done to a good standard.

Experience: I have not directly been a moderator on any server. However, I was once an active co-owner of a server with access to the console and all commands (such as World Edit, WorldGuard and banning systems) and I believe that experience-combined with being a member of this server+forum-was one that allowed me to become very comfortable knowing how servers work. Also, I rate myself as a very quick and active learner, meaning that if I do not understand something-whether it be a plug-in I haven't came across before, or even morality and the actions of 'The Squaddies'-then I will strive to achieve an outstanding level of knowledge on the subject.

Any past offences: Never, I have always and will always follow the rules (whether I were to agree with them or not) because I realise, that someone of a greater authority [and therefore a superior experience and understanding] has decided for said regulation to be put into place for a reason. Also, I have read the rules several times and I fully understand the reasoning behind them all, and fully support each one.

Reasons you should be moderator:

• Firstly, I believe that I should be given the role of a moderator on Squadcraft's Skywars server, because I am great friends with the current Skywars moderator team, meaning we would certainly work good collaboratively.
• Also, [I am not trying to boast] but I am currently in the number 1 position on the Skywars server (also being a part of the Squadcraft community for 6 months), showing directly how much I am on the minigame, meaning I could help out during this extended period of time. As well as this, I have 'collected' all 113 available forum points, showing how I am a very active member of the forums (so I will be able to keep up-to-date easily, help people with their problems on there and potentially be solely responsible for the moderation of the hack/ddos reports thread).
• Finally, in the words of the severely intelligent Yum44 [<3]; "A moderator has it in his/her power to use their own judgment to prosecute a rule breaker". I think that Minecraft servers in general have one thing in common that restricts them from becoming great; people. On Squadcraft, I have seen many staff members that act not 'how they are supposed to' as moderator etc. but as a truly great moderator and Human being should act, using their own common sense and judgement to choose the option that will give the most benefit {to the server}, even if it means going against the mighty Yonda, stay awesome Joshy666 [<3]. I know it seems clićhe, but many of my great friends [including several of the Skywars moderators] will tell you that I have caught, screenshotted (for lack of a non-colloquial verb), reported and gotten over 100 hackers banned, and shown no mercy in getting rid of the filth they bring to Squadcraft. I see GGiinger [<3], who was one of the most dedicated moderators I have ever seen, as my inspiration to proceed in making Squadcraft a better place, by following the rules, forcing others to follow the rules and producing thorough and indisputable evidence [in the form of screenshots of course, Yonda and Surge] to get any misbehaved members punished. However, the difference is that if I were to become a moderator, I could severely reduce the huge load that the current moderators have to work tirelessly to get their job done, essentially making Squadcraft a better place, and letting some other other Skywars moderators spend some of their time on the other servers they need to moderate-also positively affecting Squadcraft's future. I have seen many complaints recently from even the likes of my dear friends and moderators that the Skywars community is being dominated by spammers, profanity, hackers and generally rude people. I do not believe that the blame goes to anyone, but I am sure that if I were given the occupation of a moderator that I would be able to benefit the Squadcraft community greatly in dealing accordingly with these people, not only in 'temp-banning' or 'perma-banning' (what has always been done and these people still seem to come back in hordes), but actively teaching these people of their wrong-doings and hoping that they will realise that I am here to help them. This may persuade them to stay in Squadcraft, raising the numbers, popularity, and donations for the server, meaning that we can help to get the new and promised mini-games on the server (such as The Walls) and turn Squadcraft around from it's current state of 'insipidity' (expressed through several members/ex-members of Squadcraft, not my own opinion per say), and into a new mode of awesomeness! (Not being narcissistic enough to think I will be solely responsible to this, of course, just that I think I will be able to help).

Any extra things you want to add: I have recently left school, heading into college in just over 3 months, meaning I have this time, which is between 3-8 hours a day, to spend on the server, hopefully moderating and contributing to it's uprising, instead of silently playing and witnessing it's potential downfall and any concurrent insidious events.

P.S.S. I also realise that this thread shows how any mod application not for SG or MCMMO will be instantly denied. However, I thought it best to just post it and see what happens, considering xChizle was recently promoted in this manor (as I have been wanting to re-apply for about a month now but due to the ambiguity I have held off). <-Please don't see this as a means of breaking the mod application rules.

 

You deserve mod so much as you are probably the most active player out of everyone and will always be on the server, you should get mod!! MCSMELTER FOR MOD!!

Well the kits you get for gold and diamond arnt op.
It's not like you can't beat players with ranks. For example the only time CheeseQuacks has killed me is when he bought a super grapple and once scum bagged me. Nothing to do with the kits. We're equal at pvp and that's what matters
