The use of alleged facts in support of the supposed existence of a 'god-like' being? Nah. It's religious people trying to use science to prove religion, except it doesn't work since science is the direct antithesis of religion.
No reason it couldn't, but human nature causes people to tend to subscribe to a theory of duality - one thing over another (good vs evil, for instance). As such there won't be any true unity between any two conflicting ideas.
No, because everytime someone tries to mix the two, they end up cherry picking to support their own beliefs and begin to deny basic knowledge like climate change. Science should remain undisturbed. Science is about knowledge. Reason above all else.
