it seems that in the gaming community people seem to mix up age and maturity up. a lot of people i have come across on servers like hypixel and mineplex would pick on someone with a name like cooldude164 and say lol, you're like 8. The other day some girl was on my team on skywars and she was like give me the armor bitch. I was like no and these were her exact words: the bitch herself: lol dude ur like 7 me: lmao, I'm 11 the bitch herself: LOL ur 11! me: mhm, got a problem? cant remember what she said after that o ye apparently she was 15 also on a video i saw, another girl commented on this guy's youtube video saying bro ur swearing and ur like 10 i have no idea why that matters 1. he's actually like 16 2. and? im tired of kids my age being looked down at cuz we're 11 or 12 (especially the people i have come across) seem to think that they're cool or mature because they're 15 or so a 4 year old can be mature an 11 year old can be mature a 15 year old can be mature age isn't an important factor i'm not asking for 11 yr olds to be called mature all i want is for us to be treated the same as the rest of the peeps in the gaming community
Don't think this thread will change the way people think of 11-12 year olds. If you don't want people judging you because of your age, don't tell people it.
They only assume you are such age because well, its the Internet. People will do anything to have such "power" on it by being mean.
Age and maturity are not always directly correspondent with one another. Plus, young teens or pre-teens are usually still very new to the world and have not had experiences that would make them feel more mature. It is really a measure on how tolerable you are as well, if you can not stand hearing anything said more than once or hate kids, it is an answer based on bias.
Sometimes age and maturity are mixed up I was skyping probably a nine year old maybe ten but he was super kind and mature I truly agree some kids mature up fast and know how to act age doesn't matter.
It works in reverse too, 14-17 year olds can be really stupid as well (I don't like the term 'maturity'). But not 18 year olds, they're the coolest people around.
