Last time someone got caught foot trapping Surge punished them by blowing up their base... But I stopped him because I shared a base with the offender.
It is possible. Right after they trapped you, there was still a 1 by 1 block you could've enderpearled to in front of you. Your mouse was hovering over it the whole time.
It's not possible, surge has a plugin that if you are too close to a block that the epearl doesn't work. Like if I was accidently eating a gap or pulling my bow and the mouse accidently scrolled, then it would throw the enderpearl, but with the plugin if that happens the epearl doesn't work, so it couldn't have worked in his video. #knowledge
I was never familiar with this plugin. Not sure about it still, I'm pretty sure you could enderpearl out seeing that he spent those seconds typing /fix all and 'iam recording'. Might try testing it out someday but thanks for informing me.

you kind of got yourself into the trap. you walked onto the block and let them put it there you could have escaped before
That is besides the point, The point is they did it and took advantage of it. They deserve a punishment. Just because you see someone not paying attention to their belongings will you take them? If you do what will be your excuse when you are caught? If your excuse was they got themselves into that situation by not paying attention, you would still be facing criminal charges as you saw the chance and you took it which was a very poor choice even though you know the consequences.
