Forum Mods/Administrator etc...

Hi there,
Hope you all are alright!
I just recently thought if that since we have server mods e.g. Yum, Evravon, etc... I think them not focusing much on the forums is better because:-
They could be missing out on many hackers on the server. I understand they're trying to make the community much more easier however, to keep the community going on smoothly, I suggest we have forum mods/admin. So they can focus much more on the forums whereas the server mods can focus on the server and deal with hackers, spammers etc... Them focusing on their jobs can grow the community with ease. Comment below what you think! By the way, this is a suggestion so please do not hate

P.S : Maybe they can have the [ForumMod] (if your a forum mod) or [ForumAdmin] (if your a forum admin) rank next to their name so incase someone is having trouble with the forums, they can talk/message via the server.

 

See this is a good idea in therory but in practice the amount of people that apply for mod would increase and some desperate person would make another app stating that they didn't get a chance for forms mod because it wasn't even a thing. So in practice this would just make more mod apps for the existing mods to spend their time reading.

So in the end this really(in my opinion) wouldn't help at all

 

Yes CalebH13, thats what i am talking about. However, they shouldn't create the applications. I think Yonda should have a look at people's profile, look at their formality of posts (because to be a good helper, you need to be formal at most times) and ask Mods how they are etc... So then Yonda will message them and ask them if they want to become a forum mod.

Thus, I think he should choose it instead of us creating applications.

 

Mabey we need forums staff but we would still need full trust in them.

At first glance it may seem like a good idea, but forum mods really have to spend their time on the game a lot. I think forum moderators being game moderators is the best thing, because we are the ones that catch the hackers and upload them. You need to be able, as a forum mod, to empathise around the gameplay and players and to do this you need to dedicate many of your hours to playing. To be a good forum mod you have to spend a LOT of time in the game so you know everything that goes on, and if the current mods do that, things I feel should be kept the way it is.

 

Yonda doesn't have the time to be looking at each and every forum user, which is why it is up to us mods to forward Moderator Applications we deem decent to him, and from there it is up to him and Surge.

 

Not to be a di*k but just so you know in the future that surge has nothing to do with staff it's all Yonda ;D He's head of staff.

 

Yes, but if Surge has a disagreement it's very relevant to the situation

And btw, do you guys go on the forums during school times? I see loads of posts from you guys e.g at 12:30 etc..
