OF Cape

Okay, so recently I wanted to get an Optifine cape. So I went to the optifine website, went to the "donate" section, designed my cape, put my username in, then my Dad put in his PayPal then tried to donate, but everytime we try it it says some error thing and he put in the right thing you had to do but it still wouldn't work. I really want to get a cape, so if any of you now anything that can help please tell me and/or if you need y to clarify a bit of this just ask me.

I don't know how to help you :/ make sure you entered everything correctly, I guess.

 

Try clicking the Cape section and donating from there, that might work, if not, go through all the steps again slowly.

As a part of the new EULA Mojang has made players acquiring capes from any source other than Mojang illegal. Optifine are probably removing the option to get a cape.

They took it away because they want to keep capes as a thing only given to special people or minecon attendees, not just people that have a little money to waste.
Also, Dinnerbone responded to a guy asking whether Optifine capes were now banned, and he said that there was no way of legally forcing them to (a.k.a Optifine could easily have just kept on going-but they decided not to..so blame them).

You should really design your own skin or find one you want to keep long term Will, if you want to get the best possible cape

I think the arty side, I can make a skin but its really crappy and doesnt look good at all

OK, btw you might as well make it 1.8 compatible like I did with mine-here is the template.

 

Just pick out the colour of the region/s you want shading then slightly make the colour of them darker then go in a sort of bent triangle shape collapsing around the region you want shaded.
