Anyone else scared off by the Discovery Sport timing chain reputation or just me?

My wife has been sending me ads for 2017 Discovery Sports all week because she wants something higher up than our old hatchback and the prices are honestly really tempting on the used market but every time I open a forum I see another post about the Ingenium diesel timing chains snapping before 100k kilometers and the repair costing more than the car is worth. I found one in Arabian Ranches that looks clean and the seller says it's got full service history but it's from a mix of agency and independent garages and I have no idea if the oil changes were done with the exact spec Castrol that these engines apparently need to survive. I've been trying to do my homework and saw a few people mention getting a Land Rover Pre Purchase Inspection Dubai done before buying because a good inspector can actually check the timing chain stretch values through the OBD port without taking the whole front of the engine apart which sounds like a no brainer if I'm going to convince my wife we're not buying a ticking time bomb. I guess I'm just curious if any of you actually own one of these early Ingenium models and have managed to keep it running past the danger zone without any major drama or if I should just gently steer her towards a Japanese crossover and avoid the whole British engineering headache entirely.
