Debate Topic #6: Should we have a point reset in SkyWars?

Is it their fault if they cant play like 24/7?

 

Anyways, I think that point reset will come when 1.8 will come. What do you guys think?

 

Yes, the way Plug-ins work will change a lot with 1.8 so a points reset is pretty much certain. Although the server wont update for like 6 months :L
And I said he got the points without no-lifing..

 

Leaderboards don't show skill that much :/

If you do deserve a LB spot, it just takes a bit of effort. Less and less effort the better you are (or the more pay2win you have )

It's taken me this long to get 21k (not because I suck I just don't play very often) and I wouldn't mind a point reset. I'm not on the leader board and there's still about a 30k point gap between first and last on the leader board, which would be nearly impossible to breach without spending days on the computer trying to get there. So yeah I agree with Ev, it's hard to catch the people on leader board and there's no competition for people on leader board to keep their spot, all they do is move up. I say reset.

 

And a point reset if anything would make me play more, because then there's a window of opportunity that we all have to get leader board. There's no reason to quit if there's a point reset.

 

I disagree with the post players worked very hard to get up in the leaderboard and new player's need to work hard as well even if it might be a little harder for new players, if we had it your way staff would be resetting the leaderboard everyday. Maybe we could add another leaderboard and name it daily leaderboard or something and reset that every 24 hours.

 

Do you really think any new player has a chance of getting on those leaderboards. The minimum score is problay like 20k atm

 

Maybe we could have the Daily Scoreboardfor Default players only and it would show Top members of the day

This debate is basically over although,
To be honest there's two possible conclusions,
1: there are a lot of new players who's ranks are probably super high on other servers but low on this server, as half of you are saying, I agree with this and they should also have a chance but:
Even if the points are reset , there will still be new people joining, this would only result in a continues problem of the same topic, so what is the basic point?.
2: Some of the people have worked for months to get there rank amazingly high with 30k+ and for that to be taken away would be unfair wouldn't it? Although the points are being reset anyways (I Believe) I don't think they should, just my opinion though.

I thin No, because when I first started It was like Ggiinger or @Jonny_503 or MCSmelter on the top ofthe boards with ike 35k

I then started playing a lot and got to like 10k then I stopped playing MC for a while, I then got back on one day and Jonny_503had 50k! Then I thought I would never get to the leaderboards because back then It was only the top 10.

So I started working really hard and I hit 17k and the highest person was at 23k, still to this day I have 23k and the highest person had 26k (killerhampster81) I have worked and earned these points and to lose them would make me cry

But, If the points do reset I will play a lot and get on the leaderboards at the very beginning of the reset and I will secure my spot on the boards

 

He said he would be upset, but he wouldn't let that stop him and he'd play hard after the reset. You don't have to be so rude Will, everyone has their own view about the time they've spent earning them, and its perfectly fine to be a little upset. Just let people say what their opinion on the matter is, respect their opinion, and don't leave rude comments about it.
