I feel that being one of the older members of this server that I can bring a certain amount of maturity to the table that others may not possess. I am on the server quite a bit so, I could provide coverage where there may be some gaps currently. Being a parent of three young children, I believe I have what it takes to handle the average demographic of this server. With that being said, I have noticed some gaps where there would be no moderators on. This is an open invitation for some players to break every rule imaginable. I would like the opportunity to help fill some of these gaps to assist the staff of this server to make it even better than it already is. It is an honor and priviledge to be a member of the staff on any server and SquadCraft is no different. They say be the change you wish to see. Well, this is my attempt at trying to make a difference on this server and try to reign in some of the problems that I have seen.
The power of a moderator is not one to be taken lightly. As I said before, It is a privledge and should be treated as such. One needs to be honest and fair. Much of the behavior that is seen can be chalked up to the immaturity of the individuals involved. A good mod needs to be able to see past that and determine if the actions are a legitamite threat to the server and the players on the server. When handing down a punishment for breaking a rule, care must be given to make sure the punishment fits the crime. Being a parent gives me a unique perspective on this aspect as I deal with this IRL on a consistent basis. As I said before, it all comes down to being honest and fair.
Being a mod also involves not abusing your mod powers. I believe that mod powers should only be used when necessary. While I'm not familiar with all the powers given to mods, I don't think it would be fair to use them to gain an advantage over other players. If there is a way to get or do something without Mod powers, that way should always take presidence over using the mod powers to attain that item or complete that task.
