Any interesting stuff there? cus im reaching there in 6 hours idk japanese ill post some pics if u want
Ohey, I just got back from Japan yesterday, went to a fair few places over the country over the past fortnight. I was only able to exlpore Osaka for one day because I had a tight schedule so I'll list the stuff I did. Lets see... What have we got in Osaka, aha: - From Osaka you can get to Himeji Castle, it's one of the country's twelve original castles as it's never been destroyed by war, earthquake or fire and is supposed to be one of the biggest and most impressive castles of Japan - You can also get to Iga which is the birthplace of ninjas. It takes a few changeovers on train from Osaka station, but I really wanted to go, as you can probably guess. The area is known as Iga Ueno as Iga city was merged with Ueno city as well as five surrounding towns and villages. Anyway in Iga, you've got a Ninja museum, where there are ninja shows with a surviving Ninja clan known as the Ashura, where they demonstrate how to use various weapons and tools (like using their ninja sword to climb walls) and you can try target practice using Shuriken (Ninja stars). Plus you've got a little tour of an actual Ninja House guided by Ninja, where they show you the various secrets of the house, the defense mechanisms that the ninja would use in case of attack. In Iga you've also got a surviving Samurai House and a museum about a festival for demons (where you can pay to hire a Ninja costume for the day or for a period of time) (everything else is within Osaka) - Osaka Castle is nice to visit, the castle itself is more of a museum now but if you're into castles then it's worth visiting - Umeda Sky Building, it's the 19th tallest building in Japan but probably one of the most interesting looking skyscrapers. It's made up of 2 individual skyscrapers that are joined together at the top so you can walk between the two and get a 360 degree view of Osaka from above, there's another building in Osaka that you can go up to enjoy the views but apparently it's in the more shady area of Osaka so we didn't go) - Dontabori is an interesting shopping area, it's the typical thing that most people would imagine when thinking about Japan, loads of buildings, loads of adverts, bright lights etc. Nearby to Dontabori there's a gamer bar called Space Station, the bar itself is quite small but all the games are free (you just pay for drinks at the bar) and they have loads of games and consoles, Family Entertainment, NES, Atari, Gamecube, PS3 & 4, Xbox, Wii, Wii U etc. It's a nice place for Japanese and non-Japanese people o hangout. It can be difficult to find the bar at first if you don't know where it is because there's a small sign outside and on the window so keep an eye out for it if you're trying to find the bar. - Nama Yasaka Shrine is a small but unique shrine because it's the shrine itself is inside of a lion's head - If you're interested in Shinto Shrines and Buddhist Temples then you can always visit Shitennoji Temple, it's currently being renovated so I didn't go inside the temple itself but it's interesting from the outside and there's a turtle pond with loads of turtles sunbathing and swimming around That's pretty much everything I did in Osaka because I spent time exploring Toyko, Kyoto and Ine (a small fishing village to the north of Himeji castle which has been dubbed as the 'little Venice' of Japan) but there's a fair few things in Osaka that I didn't explore. I believe there's a Universal Studios in Osaka as well as an indoor amusement park called Joypolis with a ferris wheel on top but I'd recommend doing some more research to decide what's worth going to and what isn't.
kool, i went to nara for the park but the deers bit my stomach and i started bleeding so bai bai and then i went to somewhere for a bamboo forest then went to osaka for the wet market and stuffs and then going to universal studious tmrw
