Why is this command even legal!

I was just on my minecraft server and I was testing commands when I stumbled across /Whois
So I tested it on my friend ZombieSlayer917 by doing /Whois ZombieSlayer917 and it gave me his IP Adress!
I freaked out and sent him the pic of it now we are both freaking out because if someone got op and found my IP then my internet life is doomed to a DDOS attack.

 

You can also see it in console lol. And it's used for many reasons. It's a very important command.

 

For reasons such as DDoS

You guys... People can get your ip in many ways.
It's not used for DDoSing. I know the creator of Essentials, and a few people from their team. They are very professional, and there's no way they would do that. It's met for checking for ban evaders, because you can also get there IP in console. Every time a player connects it shows their IP in console.

I know, it's just that kid has "Anger Issues" and he could DDOS me.So I kinda freaked out.

Well now you just told every ddoser how to find peoples ip's, not that I care :3

 

Everyone ddoses would already know this command; they're ddosers... No one except Surge has access to it though it's not a big deal. Just don't join shady servers.
